Fat Mike can't make it any more personal with Beckham. Utterly ridiculous at this point. Stirring up the idiot callers. Somehow the whole synopsis of the game is Beckham is a cancer and his issues with the refs. All this despite a horribly officiated game, a game in which Eli manning we were told by the beat writers was "furious" with the refs as well and had to talk to them several times. Of course no mention of that and the fact that they had legitimate gripes. Or that the fact that the Giants sucked yesterday as an O line unit. "Beckham would be mad if the Giants scored 40 and he wasn't involved". Seriously? That flies in stark contrast to everything we have ever seen or heard from both Beckham and his teammates. How many of us could keep our composure from forearms to the throat after a tackle? So sick of this narrative.
You want to keep him and keep up this Decade of Darkness. Yeah, I'm the moron. He's is a flash in the pan distraction. Get over your crush.
"A flash in the pan distraction", "Decade of Darkness"... now I'm almost certain you're just trolling.
It's not just me, go back to yesterday's pregame, Strahan pretty much said the same thing.
Strahan didn't criticize it, he just said he's wired differently.
It's not just me, go back to yesterday's pregame, Strahan pretty much said the same thing.
Its called an opinion. Strahan has one and I'm sure that worked for him throughout his career. It doesn't mean anything other than that.
If you don't like his relationship with other players in the NFL, that's fine. But don't act like its some rule of the game. These athletes are working in the entertainment industry, not sure if you knew that. They are going to be friends with opposing players.
Do you hate Von Miller for buying AFC West opponents wine? Von Miller is one of the most well liked guys in the league and is probably on friendly terms with many opposing start players.
I really don't know what to tell you.
all players fratenize with opposing players, you just dont know about it because it was not on twitter...
I mean - comparing Ewing/Oakley to this lot? Come on. Even Shockey - he wasn't in the same universe talent-wise compared to Beckham.
And I thought it was pretty evident from the jump that Beckham was being targeted by the officials. And it wasn't subtle. Mitchell is allowed to give a forearm shiver to his throat after the tackle is made and Beckham is on the ground? From that point on I knew he was in for a bad night with the zebras.
However, he just cannot seem to control himself. After EVERY SINGLE PLAY he throws up his hands looking for a flag. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. These old, white curmudgeons wearing black and white stripes are not going to put up with that and will retaliate in their own way.
I'm not excusing it, it gets tiresome, but Beckham is one of many who does this and a lot of them are star players (Brady, Rodgers, Dez, Sherman, the list goes on and on). The only difference is Beckham isn't getting these calls like most of the other star players.
The Giants will finish 9 - 7 and miss the playoffs. But don't worry. Eli will be forced to throw to OBJ 627 times so that he gets to 1,500 yards and can dance more. Yaaaay for dancing.

Please oh please give me ten decades of darkness like the last ten years. With only two championships in the decade to keep me warm.
Idiot statement.
Plus Beckham is in his 3rd year. Not sure how he caused a decade of darkness if there even was one.
guess he doesnt knkw what he is looking at either

My thoughts exactly, top to bottom. Beckham is not endearing himself to the officials and I'm not sure he ever will. It's in his and the team's best interest to just hustle back to the huddle after the play.

with Beckham smiling at Brown's celebration. Maybe it was something they talked about the night before. And maybe OBJ had a dance prearranged as well. Maybe they had a little wager between the two of them. Today's athlete is so vastly different from those of 20-30 years ago that I see being brought up.

This happens all the time. Did you not see the Pittsburgh defense run at the officials after the Tye flag? They were upset and showing it. You never saw a WR looking at an official with open arms?
Plus, officials are supposed to be fair regardless of previous experiences. Part of their job.
And Mike's need to constantly remind the audience he doesn't like Shockey is pathetic.
the only point i disagree with is his take that the over reliance on OBJ goes to his head. frankly he should have been targeted more in the first half and it's a mistake to believe our other weapons can impact the game as much as OBJ. they can't and they don't.
when the opposing good defense can cover our guys, double OBJ, and we still can't run the ball or get it to the TE - we have a problem. and that's exactly what the Steelers did yesterday. dared us to run the ball and we really couldn't save a couple.
He's clearly forcing some type of anti Odell agenda for calls or whatever his crazy reason is.
Do you think that there isn't at least a thought in Cruz and others minds that Beckham's whining and screaming is the reason that nobody else saw the ball in the 2nd half? This is Shockey all over again. How many times do we see Bobby Hart have to drag him away from trouble? Do you see any of this shit from Antonio Brown, aside from his TD dance that Odell so admired? NO.
Beckham had 1 legit gripe in that game: the late hit. Everything else was him acting like a spoiled child.
guess he doesnt knkw what he is looking at either
except.... McAdoo is right! cam did the same thing when beckham scored to tie the game last year.

I don't like the constant complaining either but I think he had at least three more legit gripes.
1) he was being held/grabbed all the way down the sideline but he gets called for OPI when he fights the guys hands off of him. How many times do we ever see OPI called for that? We usually only see it on an obvious push off/arm extending type play.
2) his hand was definitely held on the one pass into the end zone
3) he was also hit early and clearly grabbed around the waist and turned on another pass over the middle.

complaining after every play. You don't help your team by firing a ball at the opponents bench risking a PF flag. At least McAdoo addressed that.

don't forget the forearm to the throat following being tackled...

This year Antonio Brown has been penalized and fined twice for "sexually suggestive" behavior on the field. So, yeah, I have seen AB do stupid shit.
OBJ is a freak WR, the best the Giants have had in their history and he isn't done yet. He is much smarter than you give him credit for. He is a tough SOB who plays with an intensity we have not seen since Lawrence Taylor.
Refs are not going to give him much help after last year which is a shame. The refs have a job to do and that officiate evenly and fairly and they can't seem to get past the Carolina game. This is just another example of how piss poor the officiating is getting in the NFL. Part time, old officials for a professional sport which by design is to make games closer and teams more even by adhering to a salary cap. These games are coming down to one or 2 plays and the refs are having way to much influence on the outcome of these games.
Finally, Fat Mike is a blow hard. I can't stand how smug he is in all of this. He loves to hear himself talk as if he is the all knowing king of sports radio. I hope Eli cancels on him after this interview at 5pm.

"He is a tough SOB who plays with an intensity we have not seen since Lawrence Taylor." Ah yes, the LT comparisons. Makes sense since LT was so cheery when his friends Reggie White and Chris Doleman would sack Phil Simms. I remember the time he smiled after Simms was peeled off the turf after getting sacked by Dexter Manley. When questioned after the game, LT said, "I love watching him play. I love watching him celebrate. I love seeing him just smile, have fun."
LT then whipped and nae nae'd.
Eli threw 39 times for 195 yards..
OBJ was targeted 16 times and produced 100 yards..
rest of the team were targeted 23 times and produced 95 yards between them..
OBJ >> Rest of our receivers combined
that is inspite of the fact that OBJ cannot threaten the teams deep anymore since the OL won't hold up and we have no running game or TE's that scare LBs.. So realistically the only reason we didn't look like a college team playing offense in the NFL was because of him.. Fat Mike and all the haters have no real evidence of anything else .. so they call him immature.. Lets get some real LT, a QB that plays to his past levels, a competent TE or RB in here.. Don't blame the loss on OBJ yesterday..

My take: for those of you wanting to get rid of OBJ, you are ridiculous. Go be a Cowboys fan please!

Frankie, go be a Dez Bryant loving, Zek Elliott, Dak Prescott Cowgirl Fan. You will fit right in.
Let's just take our best player, easily one of the better players in the league, off our team & everything will come together.

You scare me
How fucking stupid. There is no argument for that. It's idiotic, and you should all feel bad for posting something so fucking atrociously and bizarrely retarded.
in this case i am not listenkng to anything when it comes to giants, as soon as the host starts talking giants i am turning it off...
all it is going to be is about how the cowboys are going to murder the giants, i actually hope the giants players watch, because they are going to get zero respect going into this game
You don't have to wonder with fucksticks like this:
By the way - the people pissed he was yukking it up over Brown - were they also pissed when he played catch with Dez before the Cowboys game?
Or how does that work? Since we won, it is OK, but Cowboy fans should be pissed at Dez and want him released?
What are the rules regarding complete and moronic overreactions?

Since Beckham has actually been fined this year for celebrating his teammates accomplishments too much (e.g. Cruz's first TD back)
He was also pretty pumped about Antonio Brown's TD yesterday.
Sorry but I couldn't disagree more. I don't think he was pumped or smiling because AB scored. I think it was at his celebration/dance he got a kick out of or even a bit of a nervous energy type of thing. Like ok, you got one now it's my turn.
There's no way I think he was actually happy AB scored.
You're a complete fucking idiot if you really believe that....

I don't remember Lawrence Taylor crying like a bitch on the sidelines.... Or celebrating when the opposing team scores.
Your point?
Your point?
My point is your a fucking idiot if you think there's anything similar between LT and this whiny little cunt... LT went out and single-handedly won games... He took his frustrations out on QB's, he didn't go crying to the refs and the media.
Francesa is 100% right.

Com'on people. Some don't even consider him the best WR in the league whereas Taylor was far and away the most disruptive force the league had seen. Nobody knew what to do.
Even though some people can't get past the image of Beckham making a jackass of himself against the Panthers in the blessed Giants uniform, what strikes me is how many Giants fans didn't defend him because he's loud. This young kid had never even had a bad word written about his work ethic nor his effort nor his teammates liking him. Suddenly he was a me first player because a loudmouth who couldn't compete on the field had to find a way to take him off his game. From that point forward you look at it from his perspective and its been a consistent attempt to make him a lazy, selfish, me first "typical" athlete.
Meanwhile all he does is work his ass off, teammates can't answer the question enough times: "is he a problem???" "No we love Odell and he works as hard as anyone". But no the media can't tolerate that. I posted an example the other day and it summed it up. Brown was shut down by our d, had 6 catches for 55 yards and a td where i think he was out of bounds but ok. Odell was triple teamed and interfered with 10 times but had 10 catches on 16 targets and 100 yards.
What did the media focus on? Anyone think he was clapping and smiling because he was laughing at how Brown was shut down but got a TD and he was all over the field but couldn't get a flag, nor a td? Did anyone discuss his more productive day while ELi had no RB rushing 29 times, no TE catching 130 yards worth. People saying he shouldnt complain for flags? Seriously? WHat WR does;t ask for flags? What star WR gets called for offensive PI on one on one coverage when hes being held up the field? This unstoppable pass-catching machine needs to foul a CB instead of just beating him for a ball? This WR who had 10 catches and could have had 15 got how many calls?
The personal agenda shit is a disgrace and it takes away from a WR who has done record breaking things. Because he has a wild haircut and because he is intense on the field? Something really messed up about it all.
And being that this was the same crew that did the Carolina game last year - you can bet there is bias there and they shouldn't be allowed to work another Giants game, plain and simple.
When you hold a player to a higher standard, it is almost always the "star player" standard where they get away with things. Beckham gets away with nothing and actually gets called for things he doesn't do.
It is absolutely absurd.
1 superstar player in my lifetime was held, literally and figuratively, to a higher standard: Lawrence Taylor. Held, mugged on EVERY play. IF they could get their hands on him that is.
