Fat Mike can't make it any more personal with Beckham. Utterly ridiculous at this point. Stirring up the idiot callers. Somehow the whole synopsis of the game is Beckham is a cancer and his issues with the refs. All this despite a horribly officiated game, a game in which Eli manning we were told by the beat writers was "furious" with the refs as well and had to talk to them several times. Of course no mention of that and the fact that they had legitimate gripes. Or that the fact that the Giants sucked yesterday as an O line unit. "Beckham would be mad if the Giants scored 40 and he wasn't involved". Seriously? That flies in stark contrast to everything we have ever seen or heard from both Beckham and his teammates. How many of us could keep our composure from forearms to the throat after a tackle? So sick of this narrative.
Since Beckham has actually been fined this year for celebrating his teammates accomplishments too much (e.g. Cruz's first TD back)
Not every player is going to go out there and be an emotionless mute.
Don't get me wrong, OBJ is an attention whore and in different ways, a "me" guy. But he's always seemed like a sincere team player and I truly think he'd be happier with zero catches and a win than 8 catches and a loss.
Mike can't stand him, never could. Alot of people can't. But Mike dislikes him for the wrong reasons, as do alot of people on BBI.
The media makes him the story, then they complain about how he's the story.

He was also pretty pumped about Antonio Brown's TD yesterday.

was he? or was he laughing at a friends celebration?
god forbid players have friends off the field of oppoaing teams..
ewing used to get ripped by the media for having dinner with mourning nights before games..
Lol bingo as soon as I heard that I turned it off.
hanging out the night before is hardly a new thing in sports...
ewing did it all the time with mourning...
This
So if the choice is complaining about Odell (certain to get calls) or Eli throwing a horrendous pick, he's going to choose the guy who DOESN'T do a weekly show with him.

Sorry but I couldn't disagree more. I don't think he was pumped or smiling because AB scored. I think it was at his celebration/dance he got a kick out of or even a bit of a nervous energy type of thing. Like ok, you got one now it's my turn.
There's no way I think he was actually happy AB scored.
this is why i have not listened to a second of sports radio today, and will only listen to eli at 505 and then turn it off
It took him a month to get over the fact that he hit himself in the head with a kicking net and looked like a complete fool. The entire love story with the net that followed after was overcompensation for his embarrassment.
I'm glad he got a real kick out of Antonio Brown's TD yesterday. That sure was fun along playing stupid football giving up positive yardage and screaming after every incompletion his way.
When Odell Beckham is out of control, the Giants lose. So far we have Carolina last year (and Minnesota due to the fallout), Washington, Minnesota and Pittsburgh this year.
The guy is a great player, no one can take that away from him, but give me a guy like Larry Fitzgerald any day of the week.

news to me
Why can't Francessa talk about something useful, like the problems with Flowers or the Giants' inability to run the ball?

Cool. Was Ewing laughing on the bench when Mourning dunked on Oakley? I bet not....
Bashed the OL
Don't say anything about the golden boy though.
There's nothing to see with this guy Beckham! He's a model of class, self control and professionalism!
Why does his reaction have to mean "Awesome! I love that my buddy scored! I don't care about winning or losing.. that was a great catch!"
He's talked about this before. Going against elite WR's. They asked him about going against AJ when we played CIN and his response was basically that whenever he sees one of those guys make a big play, he feels like he has to 1-up them and do one better.
It was pretty obvious to me that he saw AB's catch and his reaction was "wow.. I gotta find a way to out-do THAT"..
No one on this board has ever smiled in disbelief when they've had a "wow" moment before?
Good lord. Every single thing.. the guy breathes wrong and it turns into WWIII.

if you were on the field and you went to the official and asked for an explanation and the official told you to get out of his face, you would not be pissed off?
if everytime you went up for a pass and you were held with no call you wouldnt be just a little bit annoyed

Yes the 2 minute discussion about other things. Wonder how anybody missed that over the other 50 mins of beckham bashing.

give me a fucking break, they play a game! dear lord god forbid he smiles at a friends dance, if you think he was happy he scored then i dont know what to tell you...
they hung out the night before and brown probably told him what he was going to do if he scored, beckham watched and laughed and moved on, big deal

Sorry guys, Francesa is right. OBJ had 10 for 100 yesterday and seemed oddly okay with a loss. And why? Because his stats were better than Brown's. If they won by 40 and he did nothing he would be mad. Yesterday was the tipping point. He's a cancer and a loser.

Nobody knows what Beckham said to the ref. Stop acting like you do.

was he out of control when he was on the ground and mitchell came in and hit him late and he tried to push him off of him?
oh thats right aikman said beckham is losing it, so of course it is beckhams fault, nevermind the cheap shot

Change the name of this blog to OBJInteractive. All you people do is make excuses for Jeremy Shockey 2.0.

i am going by what beckham said and that is all we have to go on...
i do know he wnet to one official for an explanation and he said go talk to someone else, it was clear as day on camer, and buck even said it on the browdcast...

What on GOD'S green earth are you talking about? How was he "okay" with the loss? What is your proof of this? I watched the post-game interview and I have no clue what you're talking about.
But Mike creates his hills to die on, and there's always one Giants player for him to do that: Strahan, Shockey and now Beckham.

Oh no, defend Beckham, he's the greatest!!!!!
Toughen up people. Take the praise with the bash and everything in between.
Does anyone think Eli wants to be following Beckham around on the sidelines trying to get him to act like an adult, or maybe the QB has more important things he can be doing?
If being Antonio Brown's #1 fanboy DURING a huge road game doesnt bother you, maybe the several examples of dumb football not getting up field and more whining to the refs, that's a great way to start getting calls!
This isnt just about yesterday, although its the latest example of his stupidity. To this point, the Washington game is the biggest letdown of the season and the main reason we will now be in a dogfight down the stretch and he was in full meltdown mode that day.
Time to act like a pro.

I think Frankie in Flushing is probably one of those callers. I think Mike has planted callers just to further the discussion and I wouldnt be surprised if he had some of his workers on here posting shit too. We do know he gets his news from BBI as one of his sawces

Odell caught 5 passes for 46 yards vs. the Bears when the Giants won their 5th in a row. I don't remember him bitching or sulking after that or complaining to the media. When one of the other receivers catches a TD, he's one of the first over to celebrate. He gets shit for crying on the bench vs. the Redskins because he's competitive and pissed. But he smirks when Brown makes an impressive TD, and now he's a cancer?
I'm crusty as a fan and it's taken me a bit to understand that the modern athlete is not the same as years before. Beckham and Brown hanging out the night before the game. Putting it on instagram. Those damn Millenials.
But Beckham is not the problem on this team. he gets ratings talk about since it's not as exciting to discuss a regression by the offensive line, and Flowers in particular. Or that the defense held up and Collins, who is having a great year, had a mental breakdown on the TD to make it 21-7. Fuck Odell, he was smiling when Brown scored, get him out of here.
funny no mention of that from the people ripping beckham

This is what happens when people go too far in the other direction... they start saying things that are just ridiculous.
- It's Odell's fault Will Tye didn't finish his route when Eli threw the pick versus Washington?
- It's Odell's fault Eli threw the game ending pick?
- It's Odell's fault Eli didn't see him streaking wide open down the side line?
- It's Odell's fault Weston Richburg/Andrew Adams picked up insane personal foul penalties?
Yesterday, the biggest plays in the game are Eli's pick, Flower's safety, and Leon Hall falling asleep in the end zone on Brown's TD. How is ANY of that related to Odell Beckham?
funny no mention of that from the people ripping beckham
The fact that Eli did that, and Eli doesn't make a peep on the field when shit is going on around him in his 13 year career, tells you that Odell was probably right.
funny no mention of that from the people ripping beckham
Yeah lol. - b/c Eli and OBJ have the same personality
Too bad OBJ didn't make that Awesome FG before the Philly game. Only those present saw that clown act
