Fat Mike can't make it any more personal with Beckham. Utterly ridiculous at this point. Stirring up the idiot callers. Somehow the whole synopsis of the game is Beckham is a cancer and his issues with the refs. All this despite a horribly officiated game, a game in which Eli manning we were told by the beat writers was "furious" with the refs as well and had to talk to them several times. Of course no mention of that and the fact that they had legitimate gripes. Or that the fact that the Giants sucked yesterday as an O line unit. "Beckham would be mad if the Giants scored 40 and he wasn't involved". Seriously? That flies in stark contrast to everything we have ever seen or heard from both Beckham and his teammates. How many of us could keep our composure from forearms to the throat after a tackle? So sick of this narrative.
I don't know where you were going by listing everyone's mistakes. They all make them, the difference is very few act out like Beckham does when someone else makes one.
As for Eli complaining about calls, it isnt something I noticed during the game, if it happened, then I'm sure there were legitimate gripes to be had. If so, I'm sure they are better off coming from a seasoned veteran QB with 190+ consecutive games played without the reputation of acting like a punk.
But to say he doesn't ask for negative attention whether it be from media. refs, opponents...is foolish. He doesn't carry himself well on the field or the sideline. Sometimes it helps him, yes. The chip on his shoulder has helped him make plays. But you are blind homer if you say it hasn't hurt his performance as well.
Beckham was getting held all game, yup. Know who else did yesterday? Larry Fitzgerald. Doug Baldwin. Amari Cooper....and thats only the games I've seen so far. They talk to the refs, wave their hands up here and there. But Beckham's is an attention-starving scene.
ODB is not a bad dude my any accounts from what I know. But he is some diva in him. It hurts more than helps in situations like this.
In my humble opinion...and it is just that...ODB is a very "Me" player. I'm not saying trade him or cut him...as a matter of fact I think NYG should lock him up this offseason before he gets stupid expensive. But man...he is very much about himself and he has not yet figured out how to transfer frustration in to game-making ability. Instead it almost seems like it makes him worse. That needs to change.

But Mike creates his hills to die on, and there's always one Giants player for him to do that: Strahan, Shockey and now Beckham.
I think Frankie in Flushing is probably one of those callers. I think Mike has planted callers just to further the discussion and I wouldnt be surprised if he had some of his workers on here posting shit too. We do know he gets his news from BBI as one of his sawces
Yes, yes, I secretly work for Francesa because I think OBJ has reached locker room cancer proportions. Jeez. Can't have a negative opinion about a bi-polar receiver with "me" issues.
It never ends.
You think this offense is struggling now? We would probably have the worst offense in football without him.
But hey, at least that "cancer" would be gone.

I'm over it. I'm over it so much I think the Giants should release him. And I'm not the one crying and cursing.
You have zero credibility when you make comments like that because they're completely moronic. No other way to describe it.
The Giants are not releasing Beckham, the Giants will not release Beckham. It's not even within the same universe of anything realistic.
So, if that's your solution here, you should probably figure out that there's a 0% chance of it happening and move on and find another way to deal with watching the most talented WR that has ever worn this uniform.

Nah our offense would be awesome because Stafford is amazing now without Calvin Johnson. Im sure Calvin is looked at as a cancer now for making Stafford force the ball to the best player on the team

Okay. Then they should trade him and get something for him.

Nope I put you in with the moronic over the top callers that were brought up. I mean you just said to release him? Thats about as fucking moronic as it gets
Michael Strahan is beloved here and everywhere by Giants, and rightly so. He had an interesting take on the pregame about how Beckham spending the night before a game with Antonio Brown was a little bit over the top. You don't have to go back 30 years to find that point of view.
immediately pans to OBJ who is smiling they will stoop
at nothing to make him look bad .
o I like him doing that no not at all but rather than focus
on the game or the play break it down . Hell no we will
have none of that . We will let Buck the Fuck make his
cynical little comments and at the end of the game .
Put his dirty foot on top of the Giants about there glowing
playoff hope going down the tubes because they are playing
tougher teams .. And chuckles at the prospect of Dallas
coming to town to make a statement ....

The Cowboy love on this site is truly bizarre.
yeah i defend beckham, i am also such a diehard fan that when i have player up against the giants i bench him and put someone else in because i dont want to have to root for someone against the giantz...
i dont draft eagles, redskins or cowboys players...
last year in the semifinals i benched cam newton when the panthers played the giants..
dont be calling me a fake fan

You want to keep him and keep up this Decade of Darkness. Yeah, I'm the moron. He's is a flash in the pan distraction. Get over your crush.
Post of the day.
There's nothing to see with this guy Beckham! He's a model of class, self control and professionalism!
Outside of a few stupid penalties he actually is. Go check out what he does off the field too, but hey, don't let facts get in the way.
There is also no way those defending Beckham are sure his childish grin after the AB touchdown was of the "damn, now I have to one up him" variety any more than it was downright happy he scored a TD.

Beckham also played catch with Dez during warmups in week 1, what's the difference?
These guys aren't going to war, they are playing a game. The sooner idiot fans realize that the better of places like BBI will be (never).

It's not just me, go back to yesterday's pregame, Strahan pretty much said the same thing.

strahan would laugh and shake hands after the game, win or lose, what is the difference?
what is the differencr between laughijg at an end zone celebration and laughing and smiling after a loss with the other team?

"A flash in the pan distraction", "Decade of Darkness"... now I'm almost certain you're just trolling.

Strahan didn't criticize it, he just said he's wired differently.

Its called an opinion. Strahan has one and I'm sure that worked for him throughout his career. It doesn't mean anything other than that.
If you don't like his relationship with other players in the NFL, that's fine. But don't act like its some rule of the game. These athletes are working in the entertainment industry, not sure if you knew that. They are going to be friends with opposing players.
Do you hate Von Miller for buying AFC West opponents wine? Von Miller is one of the most well liked guys in the league and is probably on friendly terms with many opposing start players.
I really don't know what to tell you.
all players fratenize with opposing players, you just dont know about it because it was not on twitter...
I mean - comparing Ewing/Oakley to this lot? Come on. Even Shockey - he wasn't in the same universe talent-wise compared to Beckham.
And I thought it was pretty evident from the jump that Beckham was being targeted by the officials. And it wasn't subtle. Mitchell is allowed to give a forearm shiver to his throat after the tackle is made and Beckham is on the ground? From that point on I knew he was in for a bad night with the zebras.
However, he just cannot seem to control himself. After EVERY SINGLE PLAY he throws up his hands looking for a flag. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. These old, white curmudgeons wearing black and white stripes are not going to put up with that and will retaliate in their own way.
I'm not excusing it, it gets tiresome, but Beckham is one of many who does this and a lot of them are star players (Brady, Rodgers, Dez, Sherman, the list goes on and on). The only difference is Beckham isn't getting these calls like most of the other star players.
The Giants will finish 9 - 7 and miss the playoffs. But don't worry. Eli will be forced to throw to OBJ 627 times so that he gets to 1,500 yards and can dance more. Yaaaay for dancing.

Please oh please give me ten decades of darkness like the last ten years. With only two championships in the decade to keep me warm.
Idiot statement.
Plus Beckham is in his 3rd year. Not sure how he caused a decade of darkness if there even was one.
guess he doesnt knkw what he is looking at either

My thoughts exactly, top to bottom. Beckham is not endearing himself to the officials and I'm not sure he ever will. It's in his and the team's best interest to just hustle back to the huddle after the play.

with Beckham smiling at Brown's celebration. Maybe it was something they talked about the night before. And maybe OBJ had a dance prearranged as well. Maybe they had a little wager between the two of them. Today's athlete is so vastly different from those of 20-30 years ago that I see being brought up.

This happens all the time. Did you not see the Pittsburgh defense run at the officials after the Tye flag? They were upset and showing it. You never saw a WR looking at an official with open arms?
Plus, officials are supposed to be fair regardless of previous experiences. Part of their job.
And Mike's need to constantly remind the audience he doesn't like Shockey is pathetic.
the only point i disagree with is his take that the over reliance on OBJ goes to his head. frankly he should have been targeted more in the first half and it's a mistake to believe our other weapons can impact the game as much as OBJ. they can't and they don't.
when the opposing good defense can cover our guys, double OBJ, and we still can't run the ball or get it to the TE - we have a problem. and that's exactly what the Steelers did yesterday. dared us to run the ball and we really couldn't save a couple.
He's clearly forcing some type of anti Odell agenda for calls or whatever his crazy reason is.
Do you think that there isn't at least a thought in Cruz and others minds that Beckham's whining and screaming is the reason that nobody else saw the ball in the 2nd half? This is Shockey all over again. How many times do we see Bobby Hart have to drag him away from trouble? Do you see any of this shit from Antonio Brown, aside from his TD dance that Odell so admired? NO.
Beckham had 1 legit gripe in that game: the late hit. Everything else was him acting like a spoiled child.
guess he doesnt knkw what he is looking at either
except.... McAdoo is right! cam did the same thing when beckham scored to tie the game last year.

I don't like the constant complaining either but I think he had at least three more legit gripes.
1) he was being held/grabbed all the way down the sideline but he gets called for OPI when he fights the guys hands off of him. How many times do we ever see OPI called for that? We usually only see it on an obvious push off/arm extending type play.
2) his hand was definitely held on the one pass into the end zone
3) he was also hit early and clearly grabbed around the waist and turned on another pass over the middle.

complaining after every play. You don't help your team by firing a ball at the opponents bench risking a PF flag. At least McAdoo addressed that.

This year Antonio Brown has been penalized and fined twice for "sexually suggestive" behavior on the field. So, yeah, I have seen AB do stupid shit.
OBJ is a freak WR, the best the Giants have had in their history and he isn't done yet. He is much smarter than you give him credit for. He is a tough SOB who plays with an intensity we have not seen since Lawrence Taylor.
Refs are not going to give him much help after last year which is a shame. The refs have a job to do and that officiate evenly and fairly and they can't seem to get past the Carolina game. This is just another example of how piss poor the officiating is getting in the NFL. Part time, old officials for a professional sport which by design is to make games closer and teams more even by adhering to a salary cap. These games are coming down to one or 2 plays and the refs are having way to much influence on the outcome of these games.
Finally, Fat Mike is a blow hard. I can't stand how smug he is in all of this. He loves to hear himself talk as if he is the all knowing king of sports radio. I hope Eli cancels on him after this interview at 5pm.
