My seats were just about at the very top of the old stadium, which were a real bitch to get to after hiking about a mile in the freezing cold around all the snow that had been left behind by the storm that passed a few days earlier.
I thought to myself - mid-December, playoffs at risk, game at home against a divisional opponent, this is going to be ground and pound football, Giants vs. Redskins, winner aiming towards the playoffs. Lose, and we're just about done.
We went out, and threw the ball 50 damn times. FIFTY!!! I heard things that night, bad things, from a crowd fed up with their overhyped QB who cost a king's ransom to draft and their run and shoot coordinator who certainly deserved another hook from Buddy. This was it, in the cold and the wind, the Giants shot themselves in the foot, didn't look at all like a team that could compete against the elite of the NFL, and should just go home quietly for this year, hopefully preserving their draft status for 2008.
I won't act like I knew what was coming, I was just as angry as everyone else. Just remember - all you need to do is get in, and it's a whole new ballgame.
BBI Time Machine - Maybe we should skip the playoffs - (

Cool, thanks, and I'll lay odds 2016 is not a repeat of 2011.
Lol...a hole in one
