The most staggering (but not new or surprising) stat I saw today...
The Giants STILL use the same personnel grouping -- one running back, one tight end and three wide receivers -- on a staggering 92 percent of their plays. The league average is 59 percent.
After the bye McAdoo said they would re-evaluate and re-look at everything. It seemed like in the Philly game they were really changing up formations and personnel groupings and they were clicking early on, but things seemed to have reverted back to the same ole same ole.
If there is a lack of confidence in the TEs, and they feel their best players are the WRs, why not really spread out a defense with a 4 wide look? Quick passing plays and allow two WRs to play on the inside since it seems Cruz and Shep are both better in the slot or inside.
Or if the team feels they can't protect or run the ball enough, why not explore more two TE looks? Seems like Adams (outside of that terrible jump attempt) and Tye are able to catch the ball well enough, so you can still run passing plays out of that look.
It's just mind boggling and extremely stubborn to think the offense will just click using the same damn plays and formation. Isn't that the actual definition of insanity? Expecting different results from doing the same thing or acting in a certain way time and time again!?
Hey what are you wearing for Halloween this year?

You can't convince me that running some formations that only feature 2 wideouts would make the offense any worse than its already been. The offense is absurdly one dimensional and seemingly lies entirely on a superstar making plays. Not to mention the impact the 3 wide/shotgun sets have on the run game.

its the set that can be most successful in with the players they have.

Goes hand in hand with your pre-game rants ....
Not even close ...
A mystery Fullback?
Steelers played a lot of Tampa Two yesterday. We should have had our 6 guys on the line take their 6 but Jerry Newhouse Richberg can not do that.
YOU KNOW the Offense is Predicated on What the Defense is Giving Them!
