I'll tell you who has been a super-pleasant surprise: Andrew Adams. He's not making a bunch of plays, but you don't notice him and that's good news for an undrafted rookie free agent playing the last line of defense.
True

He showed promise from the get go .. Not sure if he is a true
FS but he has held his own...
I wished they would have given Davis more of a shot ...
I think he could have helped I just remember in limited
play he could go up and like a rebounder high point the ball
he had good size he didn't need to be a blazer ....
will see how he pans out think he is with SD
I don't get the Adams praise at all. He has made one play

that I recall (other than his easy pick that was overthrown into his hand) and that was a TD saving leap of a pass in the Eagle game where we had a busted coverage.

One play, two if you want to call him Stevie Brown Jr.

He is never around when TEs go down the seam, never around on longer passes to support the CBs, never around in mid-level crosses by WRs. He bites on play action as you would expect a guy his talent/experience.

But yeah, what a nice surprise...

Well, he apparently is being noticed by somebody.

I'm not sure how criticism of Adams applies to yesterday. More than 2/3rds of Pittsburgh's passing yards were to TEs and RBs, so maybe his job was to prevent deep passes to WRs. On the passing plays that stood out in my memory, the goats were guys like Leon Hall (Brown TD), Collins (Green TD), Kinnard (long pass to Green), and Robinson/Casillas (another long pass to a TE over LBs who got zero depth & terrible spacing in their zone drops).
