seems to be the same offense we brought to the regular season. I saw the word "vanilla" typed here so often as an EXCUSE for our inability to move the ball during pre-season.
There has been a lot of criticism thrown at Eli lately. Sure he deserves some but to me the real issue is the play calling and design.
That fake end around and screen pass which resulted in a TD on Sunday was brilliant. Pittsburgh had no idea WTF was going on. Plays like that keep a defense off balance. They are also easy on the O-line because they do not have to hold their blocks for very long. I really do not know why McAdoo does not see this.
Next, why is it that we cannot move the ball for a good portion of the game but then when the shit gets serious...THEN you see the OBJ over the middle passes and some of the other effective plays that usually move the ball down field for us? Any casual fan can see a night vs day difference in our offense once McAdoo wakes up.
Well, the expert has spoken. What he said, I have no idea.
