Cincy seems like the obvious choice, however RGIII is returning (dont see mhim being a turnover machine). While Oakland is traveling to KC where its tough to play.
though i'm sure i'll be wrong as KC seems to score a DTD every week lately.
Of course last week i had them and for some reason i didnt get credit for the punt fake rushing TD (I guess that's just a rushing TD!?!) nor the 2 point conversion return. I guess we never updated extra point scoring since this first year defenses can actually score on them.
First which one of these three would you start....
Steve Smith @ NE
Devontae Booker @ TEN
Ryan Mathews vs WAS
Second which defense would you play....
Giants vs Cowboys
Bills vs Steelers
I think with Booker struggling and Mathews returning from injury, Smith might be the safe start. If JPP didn't get injured, I would have started the Giants but without him, not sure how effective they will be against a Cowboys team who does not turn over the ball too often.
Who would you pick between the following: My defensive scoring is very strange. You don't get any points for any Special Teams TD's. Also after giving up 30 pts you get 1 negative pt for each point scored against.
who's home Vs Chicago and have been really good their last few games.
RG3 is starting this week so he's either going to light it up or shit the bed against Cincy.
When was the last time he lit someone up? 2013?
Probably. But he's now playing for his career and has a couple guys to throw to. I've been going back and forth on what to do and maybe I'll change my mind and go Cincy, but I like Detroit at home against Barkley as well.
Martin sucks so i'd probably look at another option. I scooped up Jacquizz yesterday and may actually start him. I think his YPC is almost 1.5 yards greater than Martins who I think the Bucs are pretty much at the end of their rope with. I know he just signed a longterm deal but everything points to them hating him.
It's risky, but the payoff is beautiful if you have a good team
I am in two leagues.. my main league and a side league I do with a bunch of friends. In 1st in my main with 1 regular season week to go before playoffs.. 1st place gets a $500 bonus and I don't have it locked up.. I'm only 12 points ahead of the guy in 2nd, we have the same record.
So I'm playing for 1st there and then hopefully the championship once playoffs start.
And then in my other league, we have a relegation rule.. bottom two teams get the boot because we have other guys who want in. Had a miserable year in there because of Charles, Woodhead, and just a lot of bad luck overall. So I am playing for my place in the league this week. I have to win otherwise I'm out. Stressful.
I need consistent points, not a boom or bust. Due to that, I am leaning Gore
What do you think?
I think your guy is Ingram. Monitor the toe, I think he will play, but the Saints run really well outdoors on grass. In those environs, they rush for 135 yards/game, and they tend to run the ball more than the do when they are playing indoors. Tampa has been a little tougher of late to runners, but I think Ingram will be a good play not just as a runner, but also as a receiver this week.
I do not like Gore, I just think there is so little upside there if he doesn't score a TD, and I know he's had a really good year overall, but I just can't. I think Ingram is about 110 yards rushing and receiving this week and a score, and he'd be my play.
Gore is playing at home against a pathetic Houston offense, and so game script-wise he's a decent play, but if he doesn't score, there's a pretty decent chance you are looking at a 4-7 point fantasy day from him. I think Ingram offers a safer floor of about 8 points (60 rushing, 20 receiving, 0 TDs) and much better upside.
and in my league you get 10 points for a punt/kick return for a TD - so 15 points from them was nice. So even if the Bengals score more, its ok. That was a big score for me.
Now I have the same dilemmas every week. And I come to BBI to steer me wrong! haha
RB: choose 3
Miller @ Colts
Ajayi vs. Arizona
Forte @ SF
Howard @ Detroit
WR: Choose 2
Matthews vs. Washington
Watkins vs. Pittsburgh
Adams vs. Seattle
Landry vs. Arizona
Right now I have:
Ajayi, Howard, Forte, Watkins, Matthews

Unless it's 'Zeke, or Le'Veon Bell, I am not playing any RB against Arizona's defense if I can help it. Just not going to happen. There are defenses you want to avoid against RB's, and Arizona is just one of them. I know Ajayi has had a nice year, but no, I'm not trusting him vs that team.
So for your RB spot I'd go Miller, Howard and Forte, and I would feel pretty good about that.
At receiver, I like the potential game script of Pittsburgh at Buffalo, and I know he's a risky play, but I think Watkins has a pretty good game and I'd play him. And I'd go Davante Adams vs the Seahawks. It's not a great matchup, but they lost Earl Thomas, and you'd think Jordy is going to draw Sherman for the most part. They do move Jordy around but he plays to the right side of the formation most of the time, and that's Sherman's main side (left side of the defensive formation) as well, and I like Adams, who has had some big games recently, as well as a stinker last week, to have a nice game here against the Seahawks.
I do not like Matthews at all, because he has been a huge fantasy disappointment, and isn't 100% coming back from an ankle injury. And really, you can't trust any Dolphins, not even Landry, against that Arizona defense, so just bench them.

Thank you. You make excellent points. I know what you're saying about Matthews but he is still their number 1 and has given me some good weeks. I think there will be more offense in that game. The problem with GB is that they have Nelson, Cobb, Adams, Montgomery, Cook, etc.... Matthews tends to be a little more consistent while Adams has bigger games.
Cleveland is the best weekly matchup there is. And RGIII starting makes no difference.
I was with you all week on this but changed to KC last night because of weather. The cold obviously affecting the raiders. Wish I got a few more sacks and didnt have a few tips go to the ground.... but with RGIII - there might be a ton of running and he does have some decent options. I dont know I can see a low scoring 10-17 from the browns but not enough to have a huge week.

Yes, but I think it hurts Martin more. Both RB's are playing better than Martin.
Lucky, 2 teams that are in the running are playing each other. Good chance one of them will be out.
Basically, there is a 2 team tie for 2nd, and a 3 team tie for 4th (I'm one of the 3 teams).
21 degrees at KC for a west coast team can be trouble.
So I'm playing for 1st there and then hopefully the championship once playoffs start.

Ajayi going up against the best run defense
Howard is at detroit and their offense isnt the greatest.
4 pretty good players in shitty situations. Id probably sit forte for miller then.
