Yes, I know one shouldn't get exercised by "professional" mock drafts, but...Jiminy Christmas I wonder what people are thinking and how aware they are of team needs, trends, etc.!

Walter now has up the first three rounds of 2017 and first one round of 2018 drafts. In three of those four rounds they have us going DL (1 DE, 2 DTs); the other round is RB. And there's this gem: "The Giants spent tons of money on their defensive line, but it hasn't produced as expected." So Vernon and Snacks have disappointed, eh? Unbelievable there's no mention of OL and/or TE.
I'm all about

Christian McCaffrey, RB from Stanford in Round 1. and he should be there in the 20's.

Snack and Vernon couldn't have played any better so far. I hate everyone citing the amount Giants spent on defense. They got 3 studs who have turned around the unit. You get what you pay for.

is guaranteed to have at least fifty more mock drafts . . . before the end of this year.

There are three first round running backs this year. I like all three better than I liked Elliot last year, McCaffrey included.
Mocks especially this early are horribly inaccurate
Patrick77 : 12/8/2016 2:23 pm : link
They have also made some massive assumptions on who will declare. Their ranking of the QB class is putrid IMO. Trubisky first overall? Watson is supposedly a 3rd rounder who will be overdrafted? Brad Kayaa will declare early to get drafted in the third round in a bad QB class?

Also, Njoku is awesome and likely could go that high but he would be declaring early and is far from a finished product.
There are very few good draft progrnosticators

there are very few good pro football analyst. The venn diagram has very little overlap.
Given JPP injury history ....

a pass rushing DE should be expected (supposedly the upcoming draft is deep in pass rushers). I would expect OL and LB before DT, but that's just me. As always what the team does in FA signings will impact where they draft.
Never heard of

Smoot...to youtube I go
OJ Howard at #58
Bluesbreaker : 12/8/2016 2:51 pm : link
I would be shocked if he got out of the 1st round .
A ton of DB's going in round one . Give me a play making
Tight End or RB - WR I don't think there are any big time
OL prospects outside of Cam Robinson maybe depending on
how they value Ryan Ramczyk or Mike McGlinchey Its our
biggest need . If one is sitting there I have no idea why
they would't add another young starting O-lineman ..
This is suppose to be a weak draft
Beer Man : 12/8/2016 2:54 pm : link
for any team needing help on the OL. The team may have to be aggressive in FA to get a decent OG or OT.
My too early, no way its gonna happen, here goes nothing mock
est1986 : 12/8/2016 2:54 pm : link
RD1 LB Alabama Reuben Foster
RD2 RB Stanford Christian McCaffrey
RD3 WR Western Michigan Cory Davis
RD4 QB Ole Miss Chad Kelly
We are going to need
jlukes : 12/8/2016 2:55 pm : link
DE
DT (penetrating)
RT (or LT depending on what they do with Flowers)
RG
MLB
OLB
CB
TE
WR

I wouldn't touch a RB in the 1st round.

Hopefully Goodson steps up to fill the MLB need. CB we are probably set for another year (if they keep DRC). TE - maybe a FA, but doesn't seem to be a position that Jerry R places a very high value on.
The one RB I want that we may have a shot at is
Bluesbreaker : 12/8/2016 3:32 pm : link
D'onta Foreman he is explosive and can run between the
tackles . As of right now he is the Guy I want with one
of the top TE's being the other OJ Howard is gonna be
a bitch to cover .

If JPP leaves, I think DE becomes a near certai n first round pick.

Even if JPP stays I can still see DE in the first.

OL, then
old man : 12/8/2016 7:01 pm : link
2nd: TE/Pass rushing DT,
3rd: Passrushing DT/TE.

It does appear to be a weak OL draft, and supposedly a better D than O draft.Ignoring any surprises of underclassmen declaring they need to address the OL intently.
Anyone have a list of potential FAs for OL, TE, WR/

If he's some DB's bitch, that's not a good thing for the team he's on. Pass. And by pass, I don't mean pass the ball to him, I mean pass on taking him in the draft.

Beerman, you draft for two or three years down the road plus CB is always a priority along with WR and DE. I wouldn't be surprised with a high draft pick at CB. Grades being equal, you would get more value than a RB, G, LB, or TE.
