Q: Is this the best that you feel like you have ever played?

A: Yeah, so far I think so. But I feel like I had been doing it in St. Louis, but St. Louis is St. Louis and I am just glad to be here in New York where the lights shine bright and everybody gets to see you.

Q: Has the defense surprised you how it is getting better and better?

A: No, man. I have been saying it since I got here, we can be as special as we want to be. We just have to continue to come out and work and play within the defense.

Q: Do you think playing in the big games and being in a playoff race heightens the way people look at you?

A: Honestly, I don’t know because I have never been in this situation, but the longer you play, the more eyes you get, and you just have to stay focused and continue to play.

Q: You want to play every game the same I guess, but is it different when you are 9-4 as opposed to 4-9?

A: Big difference. When you are 9-4 you have something to lose and when you are 4-9, you don’t.

Q: Do you play differently? Did you find yourself maybe playing a little differently in St. Louis?

A: Yeah, you take a lot of chances and you need a lot of plays. Here, you can just play within the scheme, play for your teammates and hopefully bring the energy.

Q: Where do you stack up in the league amongst cornerbacks?

A: I don’t know. You tell me. Where do I stand?

Q: One of the best.

A: I don’t know.

Q: Do you sense that other players are looking at you differently now that you are getting that extra attention?

A: I mean, they know. I am sure they know. They have known, it is just who put it out there and how they put it out there. Like I said, just continue to play football and don’t worry about who is #1, who is #5, who is #25. Just play Jackrabbit football.

Q: What would making the Pro Bowl mean to you?

A: It would mean a lot, but I am not trying to make it to the Pro Bowl, I am trying to make it somewhere else. It would be special though.

Q: Do you look at the secondary and where you stand around the league?

A: Once again, I don’t look into the stats. I will say it again, we can be as special as we want to be if we continue to work and play for one another and play as a team.

Q: What has been the most important thing for you guys coming together on the back end?

A: Just communication, fundamentals and techniques, and knowing how each other play.

Q: You talk about having more eyes on you here. Is that one of the reasons you decided to sign here?

A: No, I came here because they chose me to come here. I was a free agent and that was my choice, so I came here.

Q: Any reaction about the firing yesterday of Jeff Fisher?

A: I wish Coach Fisher nothing but the best. He has been a great guy to me and my family and I just wish him much success.

Q: How different does it feel to be in a playoff race?

A: It feels good. It gives you a chip on your shoulder to make you come and play even harder and just strive in the moment.

Q: Do you pay more attention to it now, as opposed to a couple weeks ago, now that we are kind of getting down to the end?

A: Not for real. Coach reminds us every day that it is one game at a time, one day at a time, one week at a time, and we are just going to take those types of steps.

Q: When you talk about the defense being as special as you want to be, where are you now and can it get better?

A: Oh, there is always room for improvement. I think we can get a lot better just as far as small things, such as giving up a couple plays here, a couple plays there, and just keep improving, man.

Q: You mentioned that you haven’t taken as many gambles this year. Do you consciously think about that?

A: Yeah, you always think about it. The improvement that you made from the year before, knowing what you can and can’t do, and you just benefit from that.
One thing I've noticed...

is that it seems that McAdoo has the players heads where he needs them to be. They don't seem to have their focus on anything else but winning games and playing sound football. They all keep saying the right things in these interviews, and that starts with the HC and continues based on the leaders in the locker room.

It makes me very happy. Love the jackrabbit!
Pro Bowl

the Giants appear to have alot of great players firing on all cylinders right now. Jackrabbit, Vernon, Snacks, Collins, Beckham - these 5 guys alone are tough to beat. That is 5 Pro Bowl players right there.

We've gone years having none, 1 or 2.

You could also add DRC - not full-time but playing great ball. when he's on the field he's at a Pro Bowl level

Count JPP too, that's 7 Pro Bowl guys. Roster is making a turnaround. They need to keep the team together, it's still one of the youngest in the league. Develop from within, probably don't have to spend much more $$$.
Is it just me or does anyone else

find the beat writers' line of questions for Jackrabbit a little off putting, even insulting: gee, now that you're with the NYG, the bright lights, and you're being seen more, is your play better, how different is this than with St.L Rams, as if it has less to do with JJ's ability and more to do with his situation here this year?
