not for any religious reasons, but i always thought if i was on a jury or faced with a decision to end someones life it would be very very hard thing for me to do. the threshold is very high.
That he would do it again and feels like he did the right thing.
It doesn't get much more evil than that.
I don't know how the victims families can show such forgiveness in the face of such a remorseless devil. Bless them
with the exception of cases where there were multiple murders committed by an individual in addition to irrefutable evidence of their guilt (such as from video, dna, or voluntary confession). To me, there's no societal benefit for keeping a person capable of that alive in prison for the remainder of their life.
I find it hard to be believe the "everyone deserves life" not when your a mental defect like these people are
I personally don't have a problem with the death penalty as a concept, but it's been shown on multiple occasions to be flawed. Until we fix the process, we should suspend this practice.
Linked is a list of people who were exonerated of charges after being convicted and sentenced to death. The list does not include those who were executed but might have been innocent. flawed system - ( New Window )
Too bad Brock Turner couldn't be tossed in there with him.

I understand completely but disagree. We value life so much we wouldn't even kill this evil person.
"I would like to make it crystal clear. I do not regret what I did," Roof wrote in the journal. "I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed.

I get that sentiment, but I'm comfortable with accepting the idea that there are some lives that just don't have any value.
And from a financially practical standpoint, the cost to sustain a currently 22 year-old Dylann Roof in prison for the rest of his natural life will by far surpass the cost to the public for whatever appellate processes he would have gone through as a death row inmate.
Why should tax payers pay for him for the 10 years before he is executed? This is quicker and free.. drop him off in chiraq
Ugh, that's the censored version. While I understand why the original wouldn't fly on network TV, making it "I hate everyone" defeats the point of the whole thing. But anyway, my favorite Die Hard and one of my favorite movies of all time. Sorry to switch topics.
Money goes to victims families.

More than we'd like to think.

He'd probably be protected anyway. He deserves to die, but I hate wasting money on these POSs for all the appeals they get.
i think he meets it.
The death penalty cases cost far more in taxpayer money than simply keeping this filth alive in a prison.
Ol' Sparky hasn't been used since 1991. Might have to blow the cobwebs off that baby.
I concur.
