the premise of the show doesn't look appealing to me I am likely to give it a go because I really really like Hardy as an actor.

It seems like a pretty polarizing show but its getting solid enough reviews to start. 67 on Meta Critic, 75 on RT, and 9.2 on IMDB (the least telling of the 3 but still).

Fan of Hardy and I usually enjoy historical fiction. I have a feeling this is going to be a show with no clear "good guy" but with no lack of compelling characters either.
