First, it will prevent the Eagles from signing him, second we will potentially have the most lethal wide receiving group in the league and third if OBJ continues his antics and the Giants lose patience with him they could leave him walk on his last year or franchise him, then let him walk and we will still have a great WR in Jeffries.
Agreed overall although "Find your way back" is easily my favorite song from either iteration.
Agreed.....Reese is not going to spend as much as we think on a #2 WR. We've got bigger fish to fry and money to spend elsewhere (ie. Oline, DE, etc).
Well done BBI. This thread should be pinned Mods.
Well, he IS available.
Giants most likely look to draft for a size WR IMO.........
This offseason, I think you will see the Giants use their money to bring back Hankins (at age 25, they should) and will slap the Franchise tag on JPP whether he likes it or not.
That said, the need at WR for a bigger body is offset by the fact that the Giants are about to allocate a ton of money to Odell in the next year or two. I don't think it's a smart move to invest that kind of money in Jeffries, who will want his 2nd contract (usually the biggest). The Giants will need to save their money to fix the OL. And as jokingly noted above, Marshall would be a great fit with the Giants. He will come on a short term deal. If anything read his comments when he was talking about the Giants WRs in Green Bay, including a jab at the Miami thing
Distractions are going to be there, warranted or not. Marshall said Beckham needs to be ready for them, especially if he's going to bring more on himself. After all, no one knows about the Miami trip if not for Snapchat videos and a photo posted on Twitter.
Hmmm...maybe a mentor for Odell that has been talked about. The Jets are in cap hell and might well be forced to cut him. I would love to see the Giants bring him in.

Very true, but Alston instead of Alshon is new.

I mentioned that in another thread yesterday, I think Marshall would be a great fit. A lot has been made of his antics, and understandably so, but he was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, which he says prevents him from being able to calm down after getting agitated. To his credit, he has been very open about it, even starting Project Borderline to help others identify and treat the affliction.
I seriously wonder if Odell might have a similar problem. Either way, I think Marshall could be a great mentor for Odell.
Alshon Jeffery
Pretty sure Star Trek TNG used a "Jeffrey's Tube" as an internal conduit for the Enterprise.
Phew! Thanks for clearing that up, Paul.
An injury prone one at that.
He doesn't look like an able bodied NFL WR. But I don't want to sound racist.
Marshall would look real nice in Giant Blue would be a great compliment to OBJ and cheaper than Jeffries and if you ask me better ...I know one thing he's always been a thorn in the Giants side in the regular season playing against the Giants he's had monster games go get him Jerry !
