We got to work and get the fundamentals better, getting arms in and tight. But generic answer overall.
Defense -- we played championship level defense at times, and Landon was a big part. We hit the jackpot in terms of character guys who all got along together. Most encouraging is that we all hold each other accountable and root for each other in a close locker room.
Stay in the moment - you get spread thin, but you have to be all in on the task at hand. Don't look too far ahead or behind.
There are some things that you don't expect that do come across your desk, but the integrity of the organization was a great help. Accountability of players, good people in the organization. Still not where we want to be.

Translation: Keep this defense together and get him some new guys to work with on offense.

I think he' referring to the Josh Brown situation in the second paragraph. I'm surprised Mike didn't press him on it. I guess it's old news now.

the question was about Flowers and I'm pretty certain he was saying that Flowers has to get his technique together specifically.
Feel good about rookie class - guys who like football. But it doesn't mean their spots are secure, be ready to handle your business.
I found this to be a very interesting comment. He specifically said guys who are "not just about the money or the off field stuff".
Year 1 a rookie HC needs to establish himself. Mission accomplished. Year 2 he puts more of his personal stamp because he can. My guess: Everyone better be on notice that 2017 is all business, no fucking around. Everybody had better behave themselves.
The Montgomery fumble was mentioned multiple times - obviously McAdoo pissed Hochuli called it so it couldn't be reviewed.
We will see some changes in the return games next year - don't know if that means Quinn as coach goes as well.
The plane is officially a dead story - McAdoo on record saying no truth. Obviously Francesa also teed this up to contrast the morning show, where Carton has insisted there was validity to it even after Carl Banks told him there wasn't.
RE: Two years, two training camps, 33 starts and Â
Cleaners, flight attendants, gate agents, even passengers would have undoubtedly taken pictures if the airplane was "trashed", and they'd be making the rounds both in the industry and elsewhere due to the crossover appeal of the story. But there are none. In this day and age, pics or it didn't happen.
United decided to fly a dirty airplane on a flight to London (instead of further delay, risking crew timeout) and employees gave social media trigger-happy customers too much information. End of story.
Flowers' technique is still bad. That says you either have bad coaching, which I do not believe, or you have a mental midget for a player.
I choose the latter.
Earth shattering proposal here, but can't it be on both? Why does 100% blame have to be passed on to 1 person?
Mental Midget is also a bullshit term you are throwing out there for a guy you know nothing about. A guy not performing up to standard doesn't mean they are stupid. Get a fucking life man.
But hopefully coach has ALOT better talent to work with on:
1) O-Line
2) WR
3) TE
ALOT of work to do..
Make Sullivan QB coach ? Well hopefully after all these years with Eli maybe Sullivan can teach him how to properly play fake and throw screen passes !
have better things to do than pretend to be "bros" with a twerp like him. Take away his chance to be a jock-sniffing suck up, and he realizes he's just another zero
I've thought the same thing this year. Last year as OC, Mac's O was one of the best in the league.Understanding, of course, that they were playing from behind most of the year. But the play calling utilized the Giants strengths & kept the team in many games.
Fast forward to this year & with, arguably, some better pieces on O (Shepherd,Perkins), the O many times looked liked it had gone back to an old pre-Mac playbook. Personnel on field basically stayed same & play calling was vanilla as opposed to the previous year. Now I know the argument is much of it was because of the O Line but this years'5 were last years'5. I guess we'll see this season w/Mac's rookie year as HC behind him. But in comparing the 2, this years' O play calling was missing something( And no, that something was not Rueben Randle!).
Carton doing what he does best - he doubles down on the trolling when he's called out.
You now have Banks, Cruz and McAdoo in a 24-hour period calling the story false on the same radio station - Banks specifically calling Carton out. No way he was going to back down - he learned at the foot of Philly troll Howard Eskin.

So you're saying that two years is plenty of time for a player to reach his potential? Two years?
Jumbo Elliot wasn't a very good LT until his 3rd season. William Roberts took even longer to develop at guard. Tiki Barber was a JAG until his 4th season. Eli couldn't win on the road until his 4th season. Should I go on?
MC: confident but we let some opps slip but I was confident we could move. Eli was really spinning it.
What happened after? Why did they break badly for the D?
It was only one series - still moving the ball, we didn't play good team football - the Rainey play, sack fumble. Don't give Rogers oppty to cash in.
Odell feels like he let a lot of people down. Post-game, he has to act appropriately and not damage other people's property

Eli's year - Looking at the overall scheme gives us most of the insight. He was playing better football toward the end of the season.

Already ready for the offseason calendar and doing the evaluations to get ready for July 2017.

His suit, on the other hand...
Still, it must be killing him. How many times can you go to Lambeau for a playoff game, with an excellent chance to be up 14-0?
And if he would just shave that mustache, lose 30 pounds, and not let his wife cut his hair anymore, he will look like a real head coach...
I choose the latter.
or he doesn't have the feet or feel for the LT position. Brandon Scherff was put at LT in Skins camp and taken off.

Funny because people sided with Flowers over Solari.
United decided to fly a dirty airplane on a flight to London (instead of further delay, risking crew timeout) and employees gave social media trigger-happy customers too much information. End of story.
yeah how dare he have 2 credible guests on back to back.
1) O-Line
2) WR
3) TE
ALOT of work to do..
Why do you continue to listen? It clearly upsets you all the time.
I choose the latter.
And if you listen to the archived audio on WFAN you can hear McAdoo say "Ah that's BULLSHIT Mike"

You're joking right? He responded to the plane flight I believe
Lol

yes, that was his response to the plane thing. It was great!

Noooo filter

Oh, wait. It looks like the plane non-story.
not sure why anyone listens to him.
