But I'm glad they hired Ben. Apparently he's bringing McCoy with him as OC. If I'm a Bills fan I'm pretty happy. Anthony Lynn was thought to be a shoe-in, he either bombed in his interview or McDermott blew them away.

I saw in the other thread about Denver's hire that McCoy was going to Denver to be OC.
Sure you can. The Bills just redid their defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4. McDermott is a 4-3 guy and will change it back more then likely.
On-top of that who is going to run their offense. Hiring defensive coaches without a proven QB in place is recipe for disaster, but they are the Bills and they do not care.

You're correct, Denver acted swiftly, all day I've been reading tweets about McCoy going with McDermott. I wonder if Anthony Lynn would swallow his pride and take his old job back? Probably not.
Looked pretty sparse after Childress and Spagnuolo bombed, with John Harbaugh as the one real head-coaching success story.
Of course, Pederson and McDermott haven't won anything yet. And I guess it should be noted that Reid ultimately fired McDermott during the build of the 2011 "Dream Team".
He also is no QB guru. I like Tyrod, but the Bill's don't.

Also I like McDermott, but I just think he is a terrible fit for the Bills.

They were a 4-3 until Rex came so it isn't all that huge of a change.
If you look at the league, most of the more successful HCs are defense oriented.
Name a HC who has been around long enough to have developed more than 1 QB. Coughlin was one and maybe the guy in KC now.

Dan Reeves: John Elway and Dave Brown!
He can't
Spags is under contract, and he can't leave without permission for a lateral move.
Sounds like he's bringing in former Giants Asst Al Holcomb as DC. And Ken Dorsey as OC. Both first time coordinators.

Aren't they both Jim Johnson disciples from Philly?

Are you sure? I thought when Coughlin hired him, it was 2 y Contract. Did they redo it when McAdoo got the job?
