I gave up on Season 4 three episodes in. Man, what a disappointment.
Eh, while it wasn't up to the standard of the first 3 seasons, it still had some good episodes and hilarious moments. Here's hoping the full cast being together will get the show back to where it should be.
of the show that put it in chronological order and made it much better. Then, Hurwitz said he was going to do the same and release it on Netflix. I think not jumping around in time (even if the actors weren't able to do scenes together in some cases) would probably result in a much better product.
that said original seasons were great, and last season was terrible. I rarely give up on shows that I am into. But that last season that was a Netflix original opposed to on Fox was garbage. Could barely get through any of the episodes.

Much like seasons 1-3, I think the Netflix season greatly benefited from a rewatch. Especially because of the way it was edited.

I didn't hate season 4, and I agree, on rewatch (like AD in general) you catch things you don't notice the first time around.
At the same time, I think even Hurwitz himself said that the chronological recut would make a better product (which is why he said he was going to do it as well).
it's not like any of them are a-listers at this point (Bateman?), but most of them have gone on to other things and at least experienced some success.
I dont think it takes that long to shoot 10 half hour episodes of a mostly-on-set non-costumed comedy. Probably a week per episode, and I think they'd schedule it so the whole cast wasnt necessarily sitting around watching scenes they're not in.

It was more IMO a question if some cast members had just mentally moved on than the logistics (which I definitely have no clue about how much it takes to produce a sitcom)
I honestly think the cast wanting to do a fifth season
is the primary catalyst. Although it's doable, there are a lot of schedules to work around, and there's money that has to be figured out. Without the cast being dedicated to doing it, you have to figure that they wouldn't be able to pull it off (or that they'd have an abstainer or two).
