Jaguars name Pat Flaherty OL coach. Served 12 seasons as OL coach under Tom Coughlin with New York Giants. OL coach with 49ers last season
got VP of Operations if I'm not mistaken. Who did he pick for GM and head coach?
Was the 2016 HC retained? If so, he should pick his own staff not some VP, IMO.
I don't believe he actually hired the HC but that instead it was already decided that Marrone was to be promoted from the position of interim coach. We don't know of course how much TC was asked about Marrone being promoted and have to assume he gave his seal of approval but TC didn't interview coaches. The GM was already there but had his contract extended another year to coincide with the three year deals that TC and Marrone received as they now will both answer to Coughlin.
A lot of work in all the details of running a organization. TC will be the decision maker and essentially the man who is to shape the organization but the GM will have his hands full carrying all of it out.

I think most teams collaborate on decisions. It's a small world and every coach is well known to other coaches.
What gets me is the hate for coaches like Gilbride. It's beyond stupid

I agree, and I expect that TC will welcome others inputs during the process. I didn't mean to imply that he wouldn't.
It will be a good test of who was at fault with the

Rflair- good point. you guys do need a new set of scapegoats.
Lmao.
He's the GM's boss. Just like Reese answers to Mara, but Mara doesn't do all the work of a GM.
MY take:

What's the point of the GM again?
