Why is pass interference allowed on a tipped ball? I don't get that rule but it seems like there has to be a good reason that I'm overlooking.

Still doesn't change the fact that his face mask was pulled and that call was missed.

Alex smith 1 yard pass and a ball thrown out of bounds... bailed out by personal foul.

As painfully inept as the NYG until I tuned into the KC Chiefs.

Once it's been touched all Pass Int rules are gone because the direction of the ball may be drastically altered resulting in players being called for it when they could never anticipate what the flight of the ball would be.
IE: a receiver runs a short route, the pass gets tipped and receiver has to come back to the line of scrimmage and runs up the back of a D-Lineman who has no idea where the ball is
