his cap numbers in todays article are wrong. he has us with only a 1.8 million carry over from last year. its more like 11 million. he says were only 20 mill under cap. its not accurate. he needs to read spotrac whos numbers are spot on. its an honest mistake but wanted to point it out
they have the projected cap at 170M and the Giants at almost 32M under that.
As of now they have us at $32m under. If we cut Cruz, JT Thomas, and Jennings (but retain everyone else like DRC at their current cap numbers) we'll be at 45 under.

I like the sound of being $45 mill under the cap. I think one of Cruz or Jennings is staying at a reduced salary....just my opinion.

#Giants expected to have over $30M in salary cap space (Note: I used conservative estimate of $164M for '17 cap)

he didnt change anything, he still says only 1.6 million carryover and the 30 million is if they cut a few guys
Why were you expecting $11 million in carryover? The Giant only had $5 million at the end of the year. Is there something else that is factored in?
Good to see you posting JT
Well, it's math, so by definition one will be more right than the other since their numbers conflict. I suppose it's a bit tougher to determine which one is correct, but they can't both be right.
jt, OTC has them $4.46 mill under the cap. Who is everyone? I like your numbers better, but OTC is pretty accurate.

Did you tell him that on Twitter, LOL.
Never changed anything. Never said anything about breakfast with the team. None of that even has a shred of truth. Where do you guys get this stuff?
Anyway, see for yourself in the link I provided how much cap space the Giants have to carry over. I do my research, talk to people who know this stuff, view papers, data and contracts you don't have access to and try my best to be as accurate as possible.

I don't think you suck, Jordan.

You're nobody on BBI until someone tells you they've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know.
Out of the 200-300 members that post with any regularity, about 30 of them know what they are talking about. Those that call you a moron are the ones most likely to be repeating what you've said, at the water cooler during break, and calling it their own.
There's probably about another 2,000 members in any given week that read and don't post, it's a pretty good bet that they would be the more intelligent audience.
no - not you -- there are others on this thread that resorted to name calling though
If you look at Spotrac you will notice they use the top 51 salaries to calculate last years(2016) total cap used. Overthecap uses all salaries. This is what causes the difference. I don't think Spotrac is correct.

Thank you. I didn't realize that. I'm going to OTC then.

I'm with you until the "you don't have access to" quip. Please don't try to act holier than thou Jordan. It isn't becoming.
Half the things we talk about on this board come from third and second hand information.

Agreed, 100%.
Also, I find it surprising (although not impossible) that any reporter would have privity to player contracts. That's not meant to question Jordan's accuracy or at minimum his best good-faith effort to be accurate, but it's an unnecessary throw-in that I have doubts about.

You would be assuming wrong about the contracts.
I am not talking specifically about Raanan.
They can dish it out, but they can't take a little criticism.

Thrill Ride is in your corner 100%. Appreciate how seriously you take your work and it's evident in the improvements as a writer and analyst you've made over the years.
Thrill Ride also blames you and YOU ALONE for spilling the beans about Floyd and Conklin. Bears and Titans obviously are following you on Twitter, BRO.
Keep doing what you're doing and don't let these dinks get in the way.
"That Raanan sure is a know nothing moron!"
After Raanan shows up:
"Hey Raanan, you're the best! Keep up the great work!"

It's not holier than thou. It's fact.
