win. As for Horford, the Knicks would swap Noah's deal for Horford's and have a party.
Apparently quite a few teams are in on PJ Tucker so I find it extremely unlikely he's a Knick. We have nothing to deal let alone "outbid" others.
-I love Westbrook's fire but he's really dumb to say stuff like this about another player "“He hit me kind of hard,” he said. “But I’m going to get his ass back – straight up.”", he also said he and Durant no longer speak.
is that I can't really tell how good he's gonna be. He was very good last night. Still just 22. Such a strong guy in the pick and roll because he has great hands for a big guy and great touch around the basket. Highlights from last night - ( New Window )
he is very smart and he picks his spots..
he is not the most athletic guy or strongest but he knows positioning on defense and his footwork in the post is very good
reminds me a bit of a young Vlade. Obviously it's unlikely he's ever that good (people forget how good Vlade was given the era) but he sort of moves like him.
win. As for Horford, the Knicks would swap Noah's deal for Horford's and have a party.
agreed but thats doesnt make horfords deal good..
Horford's deal is absolutely fine. 15 and 7 with 5.0 assists, 2 blocks with + defense? I thought BBI tells me all the time that the new money means X isn't that much. Horford can't be a top 3 player on a title team? Celtics are missing that #2 or 1a but Horford is a very good player. Teams would line up to give him that same deal again.

he is a good player but he is not a superstar many claim him to be..
if he was on the knicks fans and media would be killing him for how he played last night and i am sorry i expect more when i am paying a guy that much..

Paying over 28 million a year for a guy like Horford is a reason why you will never win a championship unless the other players are on rookie deals.
15/7/5 and 2 blocks is a borderline all star player. And he is the 3rd highest paid player in the league.
people really talk about Horford like he's a "superstar"? I never hear his name when discussing stars. He's a very good starter but I think he's rated/paid as such. He did not have a good game and his shooting is down this season but he's shot 50% or greater every season of his career (.499) as a rookie. Unless there is some medical issue I find little reason to believe his shooting % is unable to rebound. If he were with the Knicks people would be saying he's getting used to his teammates etc. 15 and 7 with 5 assists and 2 blocks isn't exactly chopped liver
is a boring topic. Horford is a very good player and his contract while high will look like chump change in a year or so with all of these supermax's on the way.

And no one is saying he is a bum either. What we are saying is you are paying a very good NBA player, superstar money. He is probably a borderline top 25 player bing paid top 5 money. And his play would help the Celtics to as far as they can go. But for a guy making 26 million this year - he is producing at like you said. A very good player. Not an elite one.

every news outlet called the celtics title contenders after they signed horford and said he would put them over the top, it was ridiculous...

C'mon. People have said it's Warriors/Cavs since LAST season ended with a big dropoff after those 2. Even the Spurs are kind of downplayed despite their record. I didn't see people calling Horford a "superstar" or calling the Celtics legit title contenders any more than Toronto or The Clippers... good teams that most certainly aren't/weren't winning shit.
averaging 4 minutes per game over the Kings last 5 games jeez.
I dont get too many things right.... but I said WCS was an absolute bust before he was even drafted. A guy with no offensive skill and lackadasical play never succeeds in the NBA regardless how "athletic" he is.

You would think defense alone he'd be getting burn. Kings are a disaster. Landing Cousins looks like a total fluke given previous moves.
acknowledged the Achilles has been slow going and he's going to have an MRI today. I wouldn't even consider him for Sat, the following game would be Monday and then Wed so give him a few more days at minimum.
But when you're paying Crowder, Bradley and Thomas a combined $20M a year it more than cancels it out. For comparison we are paying Melo, Noah, Lee and Lance the same amount of money! Who is really preventing their team from building a contender?
I'd take Horford over Melo at this point and he's making $2M a year more. Big fucking whoop.
The C's needed some player to jump ship and join the team and Horford wouldn't have left unless he got that money.
I don't think anyone was predicitng that the Celtics would overtake Â
the Cavs (unless, maybe they got Durant to go with Horford).
The talk was more that they were progressing each year and had a shot with Horford to overtake Toronto. I'm not sure that they can do that yet. Horford essentially replaced Sullinger and I can't understand anyone who would say that is not an upgrade. Their main weakness was rim protection and they could also have used a stretch forward. Horford gives them a little of both but not enough that they don't have deficiencies still, especially in the paint. I think on that team, he is absolutely worth the money. He is not expected to bring them to the top on his own, but he is a valuable, maybe even essential piece, when they cash in the Brooklyn picks.
Idk how much longer you can bank on the Kings pick now. Gay out for the year and they start an 8 game road stretch against Memphis, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Indiana, Charlotte, philly and houston starting tomorrow. It's much more likely that pick lands in the sixers hands IMO.
RE: Horford is getting paid a bit more than what he's worth Â
If you don't realize that two of those games were against Minnesota, 1 was against Atlanta when they lost 9 of 10, and 1 was against Portland (18-26).
Seems very telling.
? Did they not play bad teams during the other games? What a snarky moronic response. Portland's record is just as bad as the Knicks, why does that game suddenly not count?
is 24-18, Knicks beat them without Noah, Portland = the Knicks, beat them without Noah, just beat Boston without Noah. What a snarky weird attitude to have over a stat that is both factual and in todays paper.
similar to that stat about how the knicks lost early in the season when Rose scored 16 pts or more.
Very different c'mon. Noah is supposed to be a big part of the team and yet they are undefeated when he doesn't play. Usually missing a key piece = a team playing worse.

You admitted that it was a small sample size, then say "it's pretty telling." So yes, I'm gonna give a snarky moronic response to some idiotic intuition when you even noted why the intuition was idiotic in the first place.
The Knicks are 0-2 when KP plays against the Celtics this year, but 1-0 when he doesn't. Small sample size, I know...
we've got to play him mostly at the 4. This has been obvious for years, but maybe it's finally getting thru (evidence is scant, but Horny talking KP at 4 suggests it). If that is the case, we have one center too many, with KP, Noah, KOQ, and Willy. Borderline 2 too many, b/c I think Plumlee is probably fine as a cheap #3 center, but with Noah's injury history, 4 centers is fine.
I think KOQ has to go if you can get decent value for him. A late #1 I'd take, even though I think it undervalues him.

he is scoring 15 points on 13 shots per game..
7 rebounds is brook lopez type rebounding...
his defense is good, i will give you that
Took them long enough to call it.

- After a hot start to the season Stauskas is back to being a turd
-Chandler Parsons has been awful. Cuban dodged a bullet there
-Otto Porter Jr.... gotta believe there were times the Wizards considered moving him. True breakout season
-Harden/D'Antoni have to be the favorites for MVP/Coach of the year as of today
-Westbrook...27 points, 15 boards, 13 assists, 10 turnovers, 2 steals, 2 blocks
-Kanter has been awesome lately. 21 and 9 on 57% last 5 games
-Not sure what has gotten into Cousins but last 5 games he's averaging 8 assists
-Cauley-Stein is no longer playing for the Kings. Buy low?

To be safe, he should probably just retire...

He probably meant because of your lack of experience as a front office representative for the NBA.
