I think it's the opposite. I think Rose's PnR defense is so bad that he's fucking up the whole team D (some site did a full write up on this, but I cant find it). I dont want to shit on the guy too hard because, but his total inability to stay between his man and the basket is killing our D. Much more so that Melo's bad D, because penetrating PGs hurt more. Rose's defense just stinks. It's approaching 2015-16 Knicks bad.

Absolutely. But it's similar with most players on this team, not just Rose. Recently there was a sequence where Kuz and BJ switched onto the same man, leaving a wide open layup. Granted that's only one play, but it speaks to the whole team being inept, save for Baker, Holiday and sometimes Lee.
Melo at the 4 will definitely help mask his helplessness though.
you are being way unfair on the Pick n roll defense. If he is taught to go over every screen, you need a better big to pick up the Wall and better helpside defense.

Rose is going over the screen, instead of under it. You live with Wall shooting nothing but 3s and long jumpers. That way it helps against the roll and collapses the lane.
