NFT: Compare Wireless Bluetooth Earphones

Samiam : 1/20/2017 11:40 am
I'm looking to pick up a pair to use with an iPhone 7 and could use some advise. The Apple AirPods cost $159 and did get very good reviews but I never liked the Apple wired earphones; they were always falling out of my ear when moving. Are they similar like that ? Bose has something like Sound Sports for $199 which includes a HR monitor. I would that useful but the reviews of that feature are mixed and Bose while good is pricey.

I could use a recommendation if people are familiar. The Bose is stretching my budget.
I recently bought some mpow cheetah's

based on someone on the board suggesting them. They're in ear and rather inexpensive, about $30-40. They're not the loudest but they work for my walk to and from work. I love that I don't have to worry about the cord getting caught on things and yanked out of my ear. They're not as high quality as bose or similar but I like them, they work, and they're affordable.
don't pay that much money for bluetooth

the Apple Airpods, despite people saying it looks off putting.

The perceived problem with Airpods falling out is misplaced since people are comparing them to the wired version (Earpods), which actually fall out due to the weight/tugging of the wires themselves. Most reviews I've read stated that they stay secure even through exercises.

As far as all of the features and the total cost, if you are going to exclusively be using it with your iPhone, Airpods are the way to go. The other wireless earphones have their own features, but many of them are still sort of hit or a miss with regards to their features and reliability. I'm sure they'll continue to get better, but at this time, none are as good overall as the Airpods.

This is one of those rare times that the Apple product is cheaper than its competitors.

I haven't received mine yet, but hopefully they'll be arriving in about two weeks. If you're still looking, I can offer a more personalized review of them.

My brother bought these and loves them. And since Apple bought Beats, the integration with Apple products should be seamless.

One drawback to this is that they have wires (between the earphones), and if you are wanting to go completely wireless (with each earphone being independent), this isn't going to work. I also have a Jaybird version with a wire that I bought a few years ago, and they're great. But they are a bit annoying to charge since you have to connect it to a mini-USB capable to a power source. That's where the Airpods have most beat with the charging/carrying case.

I recently got these ones from Zivigo. Very happy on them. Got them on special for $30, think they're still only around $50.

Really good reviews and they are waterproof. I didn't think I needed waterproof, but it is great as I wear them in the shower and hot tub and everything.

These might not be best for your situation...

but I just bought the Sony Noise Canceling Bluetooth Headphones and wow.. These blow anything else i've tried out of the water. Bose has a comparable set (the ones you see in the JJ Watt commercial).

I work from home and have a lot of conference call (and need to block out the wife and kids) and these do the trick. My wife hates them because I literally can't hear here when she's right next to me in bed. There is a setting to turn off noise canceling as well as improve the ambient voice noise around you.

All around great headphones. I highly recommend.

and they are made by JBL. I have been using the wired ones but may have to go to the bluetooth because I also have the iPhone 7. They have a lifetime warranty on the wired. I have replaced mine for free twice already in 6 years.

The best part about them is the fitting into the ear. It it so comfortable that you dont even know you are wearing them
you have to be crazy to spend $150 on wireless headphones

Trust me, they are easy to loose.

Just get something cheap and buy a backup pair.

Bluetooth wireless. I use them on my tv too when needed and of course my phone. I think I paid 100 bucks for them. They work just fine for me but I'm not an audiophile or whatever the hell its called. Actually I know that's what it's called and I hate that there's a word for that.
