or trade up to get him? I don't watch a lot of college FB but this guy looks like the goods to me... anyone have thoughts on D'Onta Foreman? Would be great to pair him with Paul Perkins. D'Onta Foreman - ( New Window )
To see what he runs at the clmbine. He looks like he has really good college speed.FYI Walter football has him as a 1-2 round pick but he could be one of those late climbers
I get Dayne flashbacks. Huge holes, downhill runner, no evidence of twitchiness in small space. Admittedly, I've only seen highlights, and most of the amateur highlight packages focus on TDs and long runs without showing much nuance.
I don't think he's a first round talent. And I don't know that his game will succeed as well at the NFL level as it did in school.
CBS Draft Scout has him as a 4th round pick. And while I defer to anyone who has watched a ton of him, I see things that just don't make me want to stand up and say "Wow!"
but I think he has to show more in his 2nd season before we think of him as much above average. His 30 yards on 10 carries in the playoff game was one of the biggest and costly offensive disappointments.
Of course he is likely to improve in his 2nd year. If Vereen can't make it back, Eli really needs a reliable checkdown back when no primary receivers are open.
a veteran presence back there, who is also a mauler....
We are at the point now, where we can't wait for drafted players to develop, especially on the offensive side of the ball, because Eli's window is just about closed, or as Reese hinted, he may be almost ready to sign his score card....
I am leaning towards free agency for the offense this year....if Pugh was extended for 8M, that just about wipes out the rollover from last season(2-3M LEFT)....Signing a RB, WR, and 2 more OLmen, and then making decisions on JPP and Hankins doesn't leave much left....and there are other needs also.....
He would be a great tandem with Perkins, another thunder and lightning. However not in the 1st. I'd rather take Ramzcyk the LT. If he's there on Rd 2 I'd take hom. Move Flowers to RG, add a LT in Rd 1, add Freeman as the new "Jacobs", and we have a running game.

I agree. Perkins should be considered a decent player with possible upside going forward. Not a building block player but in the team's plans. Giants need a RB. Badly. I feel like a broken record every year since 2010.
17. I think RD2-4 there is going to be good value at RB. 17 is a lot. This doesn't even include the draftable SRs who will be more likely late day2 to day 3 rbs.
I expect the giants to draft 1 and sign an UDFA, but I'd be surprised if it was early.
I like Samije Perine and Kareem Hunt better than him.
My favorite RB that may be available I like what Perkins
has shown but I not sure he is an everydown back get a
guy like Foreman that can push the pile and has great speed for a guy his size someone who can wear a defense down
in the 4th quarter .
My wish list
1. Ramcyzk
2. Foreman
3. Leggette
Free Agent. Kevin Zeitler
And echo this.
He can catch too. Wasn't asked to do it a lot, but works out with his twin brother the WR...

I'd take that. Add Chris Godwin in 4, please. If we can get Leggett in 3, there are a lot of permutations that would be very good.

Might rather have James Conner.

Actually Mcshay has him #18 overall and the 3rd RB

Then double dip in RD1 , unless there is an awesome Pass rusher or game changing LB.

Dayne 2.0 as well. In the fourth or fifth round? Okay...
