Begins at 3:00 PM on NFL Network
A couple of guys I will be keeping a close eye on:
QB Gunner Kiel of Cincinnati. You guys want a backup QB/potential successor to Eli? Kiel isn't likely to be the latter, but could very well be the former. He was the top-rated HS PP coming out of high school. He has AMAZING arm talent. He can make any throw. The main problems though are inconsistency and MAJOR injury problems. Still, he's likely to go undrafted so what could it hurt to sign him up?
RB Joe Williams of Utah was discussed in a previous thread (there's no way he's going in the first round. Might not even go on Day 2), but he's a very good in-between the tackles runner. He breaks a lot of arm tackles and actually, in that regard, he reminds me of Paul Perkins.
WR Trey Griffey of Arizona - he's the son of Ken Griffey Jr. I don't know if he gets drafted, but he has very good size and very good speed. The production wasn't there and he had some foot problems, but the potential is of course there.
WR Jalen Robinette of Air Force - never saw him play, but had a great week apparently and he's 6'4. That's enough for me to be curious.
TE Eric Saubert of Drake - he reportedly was the best player during practices. For a team that needs a TE, I think the Giants took notice. I've never seen him play so I'm excited to see him today.
DE Deatrich Wise Jr. of Arkansas - one of "my guys." Had a down senior year, but was fantastic last year, accumulating 8 sacks (I believe 7 or all may have been towards the end of the year and ALL were against SEC opponents). He has amazing length (arms like vines), great athleticism and great size (6'6, 270). I can't wait to see how he does today and right now, he's slated to go in my mock in the fourth round.
It's allowed. Some talent have already been "called up" to participate. I don't know which ones off-hand though.

In the Senior Bowl? Or is that not allowed?

Thanks man. I'll be watching later
De'Veon Smith RB Michigan
Jalen Robinette WR Air Force
Kyle Kalis OL Michigan
thinks he's one of those players who could go from day 3 fodder to day 2 steal pretty quickly with post-season workouts/games and combine.
How do air force players work with their military commitment? do the get it deferred until after their NFL career?
This guy seems to me like Ramses Barden 2.0, but we'll see.

I believe the military recently allowed players to play for their NFL teams during the season but they must report immediately after the season ends. They then spend the majority of the offseason honoring their commitment.

On the 4th down at the goal line was that Snacks Jr.? I don't know my college players, but the guy is a beast.
I had the exact same thought, that guy plays low and is a bull to handle.
Apparently, it was DeAngelo Brown from Louisville. Different sites have him pegged in the 5th round.
Just an awful display.

I noticed him too. He was listed at what? 315? Looks a lot heavier than that
Tannak should know that.
The matchups and drills during the week are much more important. Almost like a mini combine, especially when they're in shells or pads.
The Game is an afterthought.
You have referenced your mock on several occasions. Can you share it with us? I know. I must have zero going on in my life if I want to see your mock, but WTH.
