Brady, Eli, Peyton have identical postseason passer ratings

Big Blue '56 : 1/21/2017 3:29 pm
Of possible interest..Not all that meaningful perhaps..

The three players are tied for 15th in NFL history in career postseason passer rating.

Brady is often described as the most “clutch” passer in NFL history, Peyton is often described as the greatest regular-season passer but largely a postseason disappointment, and Eli is often described as a player who has delivered his best performances in the biggest games. There may be less to that than meets the eye, however: We remember Brady as having a great playoff game when he passed his team into field goal range and Adam Vinatieri makes it, while we remember Peyton as having a bad playoff game when he passed his team into field goal range and Mike Vanderjagt missed it.

We all knew Eli was a great post season player...this bears that out. If our WR's caught all his perfect passes vs Green Bay that game might have been over before halftime.

Still have nightmares about that Hail Mary..As Rodgers said, it gave them a huge lift and looked like the Giants were deflated (even if still only 14-13 in the 3rd)..I hope their Hail Mary doesn't propel them to the SB as it did us in 2012

only Jint fans can appreciate.

I won't argue Eli, although I'll never admit he's a better QB than Phil Simms. Just no way to compare the defenses they are facing.

I'll leave it to HBart. Eli is an enigma. He's up, he's down, he answers the call when we get there. I'd hate to think where we'd be without him. But he has to show himself this year if not only to get rid of the possibility he's taken too much of a beating.

I know most Jint fans can't comprehend life without Eli but the reality is he sucked this year, we don't know if he's done. I hope not but it needs to be addressed.
