The Rangers make their penultimate trip to The Joe this afternoon with payback on their minds for a ridiculous 2-1 loss back in October at MSG, a game in which the blueshirts pushed Detroit's shit-in but couldn't get pucks past Jimmy Howard. It happens, but i hate losing to this whiny, insufferable organization.
Next year they're calling their new dump "Little Caesars Arena" WTF, pathetic.
Rangers are 15-5 on the road since early November and hope to carry that momentum today since no one else at the top of the Metro Division ever loses. Lundqvist is in net. Sounds like the exact same lineup in all phases as Thursday's.
This is the front of a back-to-back with the Kings coming to MSG tomorrow night. Get these points. #LGR
the angle, instead of one-timing or tethering and immediately shooting,
Klein stickhandles and gets a belated shot off...hate that s..t
and yet another blind back pass by Girardi scooped up by the guys in
red that begins a period of pressure in the Rangers' end...this stuff never changes
Whenever I see Red Wings in their all red jerseys and pants, always reminds me of the Soviet era Red Army teams, Vladimir Tretiak, Fetisov, Lariovov, Krutov (that bugger was fast)
Just 4 ots in 46 games. Probably a record
Good work, MAB.
3rd to not having one post from Tannak
But it was a nice team win. Couldn't have done it without you all
17-7 on the road now this year. Too bad we end the pre break with two home games
I'm going tomorrow night -- 0-3-1 when I go this year and that shits too expensive to always leave pissed off. Gotta end - my brother in law who I'm going with is a big dude so we'll have some muscle.
Fuck the Kings.
1. Lundqvist playing poorly most of the season, which changed at least for today
2. Nobody in the Metro ever seems to lose
Kudos to him for putting Dallas behind him quickly and putting together two really quality performances together here when we needed him. Just seems so much more comfortable on the road this season for some reason.
In his mid 30s I don't think he has another vezina in him - it's on AV and gorton to build around him to give him 1-2 more shots here before he retires. If they can't do it then try and trade him but you better have someone ready to step in and Raanta is not that guy. Raanta is a 25-30 game a year guy. Valuable regular season asset.
In the parts that I watched intently, Hayes looked like a beat out there. How did he get hurt and has there been any update?
