Chris Hogan

Bramton1 : 1/22/2017 7:32 pm
Just saw that Hogan spent two weeks on the Giants practice squad in Sept. 2011. How did we screw up on that one?

Eli make the common look very good.

You're so right...many Giants WR's suck here and then go on to HOF careers with other teams..

Don't be so ignorant and righteous.

Clearly you're forgetting about Corey Washington and Thabiti Davis...... :)

In all seriousness, Brady does have a habit of elevating other players' games. It's probably a combination of the system, the coaching and being arguably the best QB of all time. Can't Brady AND Eli be good?

Regardless, my son thinks Eli is the best player to ever play the game - and he's 3.
LOL..

I'm pretty sure Thabiti Davis was before Eli's time.

Has some skills but he was uncovered for most of it today. Pats could have put anybody in that spot with the same results.

Steeler defense was awful today. They let hogan off the line without a problem and run free into that clueless zone they played.

Just more thinly-veiled shots at Odell Beckham, really.. nothing to see here.

Beckham deserves every shot he gets this off-season. He brought it on himself.

Nope. He was the third best WR in the sport and had one bad game in the playoffs. The other stuff is just off the field media fabricated noise, something you've said many times yourself you don't care about.
I should say at worst the third best WR in the sport

Its not Chris Hogan
prdave73 : 1/22/2017 11:07 pm : link
Its the system. Its BB and how he utilizes his players. Bottom line they actually have a OC which is something the Giants lavk. Think about how good ODB would be under thw Pats system?? Enough said..

Beckham has set records in the Giants system for a WR in his first 3 seasons with Eli at QB. What would he do in another system, beat the records he's already set?
any system will look great
SHO'NUFF : 1/22/2017 11:10 pm : link
with enough blocking
Blocking is important,
prdave73 : 1/22/2017 11:38 pm : link
But remember how injury plagued the Pats Oline was that year and they just kept rolling like nothing happened. Next man up. Coaching makes that happen.
No, it's Hogan AND the system.
ZogZerg : 1/23/2017 12:40 am : link
Many WRs don't play like Hogan in that system.

XBRONX please your narrative has already been ripped apart...

Brady has had a much better supporting cast across the board than Eli has over the course of his career...

And I didn't see many Patriot receiver drops in this game either...

And he sucked this year. Last week was literally the first time all year he made an impact on the pats

He's basically stepping up after gronk got hurt. This is a surprise? Bellicheck being a great coach isn't a rumor.

That's just not accurate. He hasn't been a consistent presence, but he's had a few really good weeks this season already.

He was also either 1st or 2nd in the NFL in YPC...
Dude had 38 catches this year
djstat : 1/23/2017 7:40 am : link
Wouldn;'t say the Giants missed anything other then they didnt draft Brady in '00 and didnt sign Belichek as HC ever
They showed so many replays of New England receivers
Jimmy Googs : 1/23/2017 7:42 am : link
running off the LOS and the Steelers playing such soft coverage defense on them. Not sure what the gameplan was there, as it wasn't like they were getting pressure on Brady.

How come nobody plays us like that?

Hmmm...I think quite the opposite yesterday. Hogan made Brady look really good.

I could have delivered some of those throws he was so wide open.

Maybe you should be saying BB made Hogan look very good yesterday. That would be more accurate.

So you sent me a link that showed he had 38 catches for 650 yards all regular season. Thanks for proving the point. But yeah, he was certainly instrumental against Cleveland in a game they won by 40.
Many Giants players do their jobs with zero drama.
Mr. Bungle : 1/23/2017 2:50 pm : link
And they haven't won a postseason game since February 2012.

Yes, you need elite coaching and elite roster talent to win consistently in the NFL.
