Michael Floyd

so are we still stupid for not signing him? Are the Patriots still geniuses? "Healthy scratch" for the AFC Championship game and who knows about the Superbowl. Could have used this short stint with the Pats to command a contract well above his worth but looks like he's squandering that for whatever reason.

Are thoughts still the same on him still the same as they were a month ago?
Malcom Mitchell was active last night.

He has been on that team all year. Not having Floyd active made sense.
Floyd struggled against Houston

but I don't think Mitchell's two drops did him any favors to be active against ATL in the SB.

Either way, the Giants weren't signing Floyd and he's a UFA after the season.

and wasn't a locker room plague since he didn't hang out in Maimi, so some in BBI would be willing to trade OBJ for him and they will give up another first round to get Hogan, who by the way has sucked his whole life including this entire season with BB..

Do most players get suspended for DUI? In either case I think they usually wait for the legal proceedings to play out before any NFL discipline in DUI cases.

Floyd's other DUI was in college IIRC, so he's not likely or at least not necessarily in a program.

Maybe they'll cut him the day before the Super Bowl?

He actually led the NFL this year in YPC but by all means carry on...

attitude and aggressive mentality when it comes to talented but troubled players. They aren't going to hit on all of them, or even most of them, but these moves have little downside provided that you trust your coaching staff and locker rook to be able to absorb a troubled player.

38 receptions 680 yards and 4 TD as the primary outside receiver for one of the top 3 offenses and he played all 16 games.. thats worse than RR was for us last year..

it sure looks like the two offenses are similar so the fact that he can't get playing time for the patrios surely means he would have no chance of contributing here.

They picked him up for one reason a comp pick. Someone will sign him to a FA contract and the Pats will have that in their formula. Wish we were that smart.
