Per FMiC: The Falcons least injured team

The Falcons were the healthiest team in the NFL as tracked by the Pro Football Trainers. Injuries continue to be one of the biggest determinants for success for at least one SB team every year. Last year it was Carolina

I guess the Pats are the only team where injuries don't seem to matter..:)
No question we were greatly aided

by a tremendous improvement from our D. But we certainly benefited from being healthy unlike the last 3 seasons..In fact, if this was 2013, 2014 and 2015, our D FA signings would have probably been on the shelf for much of the year..😎
Thanks Jerry

the NFL's talent pool is very limited and injuries compound that problem. When you are getting into your 6th and 7th CB's like the Giants have dealt with for what seems like every since since 2011 until this season, you simply can't win a meaningful amount of games.

People will chime in with "injuries are no excuse" but yes, yes they are. Just ask the Packers.

Prove that it isn't.

I wonder how much impact having a new trainer/staff had on being healthier. Would be interesting to know the changes/differences in philosophy.

I think many of us have wondered the same thing..It's cyclical. The probelm for us was that it lasted longer, perhaps much longer than for other teams..Many of the injuries, many of the IR designations, didn't appear to have much to do with the training staff, imo..Let's see (hope) if this good fortune hold through next year. Perhaps then we can revisit our former training methods with the current ones
In addition to adding Mack and Levitre,

which solidified what was a big mess of an OL last year (Shanahan had Ryan moving around trying to keep the pressure off but taking Matty Spaghetti-arm totally away from what he does well), it was mentioned on a recent game broadcast that their starting 5 have played every game together in 2016/2017. It shows in the amount of time he's had to throw this season.
