and he left her and went into isolation to protect her location from her mother who is snokes daughter obsessed with progressing Vader's bloodline and the one who turned ben solo to the darkside.
That's interesting.
Rey fights like Palpatine and Kylo Ren fights like Mace Windu Â
in this film. Luke is said to be the most powerful Jedi ever and the rumors are that Luke and Rey battle the Knights of Ren at the outset of the next movie. Rey duels Kylo, while Luke takes on essentially the rest of them and he has some rather cool and powerful means of doing so.
Why would you want to know this?
I saw the last two movies knowing nothing going in and it was a real treat.
I agree. Would be nice to speculate plot points (based on insider info or whatever) on a separate thread.
A) A clone of Luke's since he is not allowed to marry, but could possibly want a child of his own and that's how he could have 1. When Kylo goes wild he hides her from everyone. Would explain how she was drawn to the light saber and had instincts on how to use it
B) Luke's actual spawn
C) Kylo's sister separated for protection since the Skywalkers are prone to twins.
D) Like Vader she is a spawn of the force and has no true father.
and Luke hid her on Jakku instead of trying to train her after he failed at training Kylo. Rey's fighting style even mirrors Palpatine's in the films. She's got some dark side anger and rage in her. Creates an interesting parallel with the OT and would be a cool reveal, if true.

Look at how they fight with the light sabers. Snoke also talks about utilizing both light and dark side, and Mace Windu's style is based off of using both the light and dark side.
Is a nod to Yoda's line from Return of the Jedi.."When gone am I..the last of the Jedi will you be".
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Snope tell Kylo Ren that Ren had to capture her, or "the new jedi would meet the last jedi?" Or something like that?

Yes, and there is nothing visually similar in those pairs.

and that it's so simple that nobody can really see it.
Daisy Ridley said earlier this year that she thought throughout making The Force Awakens that it was "obvious" who Rey's parents were, but that after she saw it with friends she was surprised that everybody seemed to be confused about who they were.
I really, really hope she's not related to anyone. Enough of that played out plot device, already. I mean, are people really going to be wowed by yet another familial "revelation"?
But if she does have to be related to anyone...
...she's Ben's sister, Leia and Han's daughter. The only reason I can imagine for Leia blowing off Chewie and going straight to comfort Rey after Han's death. (WTF, J.J.?) Rey started learning to be a Jedi very young, and everything went haywire with Ben, so they separated Ben and Rey to protect Rey.
The original trilogy was a father/son saga, this trilogy is a brother/sister saga.
Just my theory, not a spoiled leak. (Again, hope I'm wrong.)
Rey being Luke's daughter would seem a bit clumsy. Who's the mom? Was Jedi Master Luke supposed to have kids? Why did he abandon her when the Jedi academy went wrong?

Vader tried to make the Jedi extinct. Luke was all that was left. Perhaps he procreated to bring the Jedi back.

Well lets not forget that Luke learned from Yoda, who probably told him the ways to the darkside, and how to "Return the Jedi". Also, Luke is the lamest hero in the trilogy up until "Return of the Jedi" and that being said he's a huge square. I mean he is a completely different self aware Jedi master in the 3rd movie, and he knows how to not become part of the dark side. I think he would obey the rules because he is just lame enough to do so.
I think that at some point during Star Wars VII, Kylo Ren was speaking to Snoke's hologram- didn't Snoke say something like Ren must stop Rey, or she will find the last jedi and the new jedi will arise? Or an I remembering that quote wrong?
NOBODY thinks she's just plain old Jane Han and Leia's daughter and Kilo's sister. In light of her comments about she's surprised nobody has caught on from watching TFA it makes the most sense. Luke wasn't even in the movie. Now think back to when Rey and Han were bonding in the Millenium Falcon and how she was essentially finishing his sentences. Hmmmm

Yeah I missed that thanks. Abrams has also said that her parents weren't in TFA so that would rule out Luke, Han, and Leia but he could have been deflecting.

That does hold some merit because they did ask a number of British actors to change to an American accent and they did not for her. So who does that leave? Obi one and Palpatine?

Those are my guesses at this point. Though, sure, maybe it is Luke as the father and it's Rey's mother who had the accent.
That Snoke is Plaguis and even more far fetched that he hid as Jar Jar through the first few movies. It instantly makes those movies a million times more interesting although I know it's never going to happen.
I always found it interesting that in A New Hope, Leia affected a British lilt when speaking to Vader and Tarkin in their scenes. Nothing more than an observation, but I wondered why that was done. We know Bail Organa spoke American English, so other than being a Princess/Senator using a more proper or regal affect in the presence of the Empire, seems curious why Leia would do that.
with ANY British Joe Blow for all we know. Ill admit its pretty cool that it can go so many different ways. I think I LIKE the Palpatine theory the best.
More on Han and Leia possibility from a fan page.... Â
Rey is Han and Leia's daughter, a.k.a. Kylo Ren's sister. Kinda seems like the next obvious choice, that if she's not Luke's daughter, she's Leia's. Rey and Kylo—birth name Ben Solo—being brother and sister would certainly have more heft than a cousin v. cousin situation, but it's extremely suspicious that Han and Leia wouldn't betray this secret at all, either in private or around Rey. Han is visibly paternal toward her, though, and she rules at flying the Millennium Falcon. Kylo Ren also sneers that Han must seem like the father she never had. Here's Redditor JayMoots really bringing this theory home:
"The answer is, it’s because Han and Leia believe their daughter is dead. I'm confident that it will be revealed that Rey, as a young child, was at Luke’s Jedi Academy at the same time as her older brother Ben. When Ben went nuts and slaughtered the other Jedi-in-training, everyone assumed that he killed his sister too. But he didn’t. He kidnapped her and hid her on Jakku. He changed her name to Rey (similar to his new name, Ren) and told her to wait there for him to come back. He had no intention of ever coming back, of course, (as Maz Kanata hinted to Rey in the lightsaber scene) but he also could not bring himself to murder his little sister. The Light was still too strong in him."

Interesting, that might be plausible, as Kylo Ren is believed to me about 10-11 years older than Rey. Also when one of the Imperial officers informs Kylo that FN2187 escaped with the help of a girl, he reacts quite strongly.
subtleties if you go back and watch TFA specifically looking for them too. Han is obviously disappointed when she turns him down to pilot the Falcon. Leia runs right passed Chewie when Han is killed to hug Rey....
Who knows, though? I actually don't think any of these theories are spoilers because so many completely different ones are plausible.
that "Return of the Jedi" also had red lettering but so did "Revenge of the Sith" so this is the third movie. The last two with red lettering had significant deaths. Hmmm.
That's interesting.

love and sacrifice for family members is the key "force" in the saga.
even han walked into his own death at leias requestto show his love for his son and wife.
there are no rules when love is involved or at least no hesitation to break them.
luke fell in love defied the order and gave the sith a rebirth.
his solom existence is as much his punishment and his thoughts that its best for the world for nobody to find him.
there has to be good reason for him to expect rey to be turned. therefore i think her pull to the darkside is from her mother.
luke fell in love defied the order and gave the sith a rebirth.
Huh?
By the way Kylo Ren is not a Sith, so it's possible that Rey does not become a "Jedi", just a powerful force user.

He isn't a sith yet, but he surely is in training. I am sure Rey will be trained by Luke in the next movie.
