Not because it's Bassett, but because it doesn't stop there. Dining room table is new? Well, now we need a new china closet. And if everything there is new, then the older stuff in the living room looks bad in comparison...
but dining room sets are super easy to find on craigslist depending on your taste. people are always getting rid of them and you can shop with pictures and find what you want.
I will never buy furniture at a furniture store except for upholstered pieces like couches. Link - ( New Window )
Solid wood, not particle board and laminates. Bought a bedroom set 20 years ago, and I'm sure it will last another 20. If you want furniture that will stay with you, think of Bassett as an investment. If you like to re-decorate frequently go cheaper. Just remember , you get what you pay for.
Quality is great and we really like the style (compared to some other furniture stores). The couches in particular were very customizable.
We haven't bought from them in a few years though b/c they closed the show room near us. And my wife has been on a Pottery Barn kick recently. I think Basset has better quality and customer service then PB though.
from Bassett. Quality is very good and style is pleasant, kind of neo-classic that looks good anywhere. Lots of piece variations to fit any decor. Would recommend.
Just say no.
If you were to get rid of your existing dining room table and buy an older one then everything else in your house would look comparatively better.
Let's just hope Reese doesn't fix the OL this way.
