Antonio Garcia

bigblue12 : 1/23/2017 12:51 pm
Very interested to see him at the Senior Bowl. I have a feeling he will be someone who shoots up boards. Forrest Lamp is the guy who is getting a ton of publicity (well deserved), but I think Garcia is one of the players at the Senior Bowl who has the ability to be left tackle.
I am certainly not a scout

but I was impressed with him in this breakdown vs. good competition in Clemson

If we could get a trade partner to trade down with
No Where Man : 1/23/2017 12:57 pm : link
we could probably get Garcia and Lamp, both in the 2nd round. They both would help. I also like RT Dan Skipper in the 4th round. He played LT at Arkansas, and is 6'10" and 325.
Never saw him play, but excited to see him as well

Let's see if he's worth the hype
Great

feet. Needs to get stronger, but most college players do. Can teach strength and technique. Can't teach feet. Lower level of competition, but held up well against Clemson. 2nd round.
I've been very impressed with Garcia

I expect him to excel at one on ones. He carries his weight well though another 10 or so pounds wouldn't hurt.

He has great feet and height. Looking forward to the weight, hand size and arm length tomorrow at the weigh in. Definitely a sleeper in a weak OT class.

I agree 100%! Draft him in the 2nd Round and we could look back and say we got a steal.
Good movement

and quick, makes EF look like an amateur.

That Troy QB is awful.
I'm not sure he is there in round 2

We shall see.
As often happens, the Dolphins appear to have about the same needs
Ivan15 : 1/23/2017 2:55 pm : link
as the Giants (O-line[1 or 2], D-line [1 or 2], TE, LB, complementary RB). The Dolphins also need DBs and the Giants need a WR. Free agency may change these needs a bit but if you are going to speculate about the draft and free agency, keep this in mind.

So if there are 2 guys at the same position available in the low 20's, the Dolphins will get first choice and the Giants will get the leftovers.

I don't think trading down will help the Giants in any way.
The Dolphins

just drafted Tunsil and have Albert as well. I don't follow their team all that closely, but I don't see OL as their biggest need.
I like that he seems to be a tough SOB. I lso like his feet.

On the negative side, he seems to hold on a ton of plays.
It's weird...

Not a lot of first round talent at OL, but several interesting prospects to be had in rounds two through four.
