Go Patriots!!

jintman : 1/23/2017 1:59 pm
I'm going for the Patriots big time for one reason only. I believe the more Super Bowls they win the better it makes our Giants look. Yes,
they will go down in History as probably the greatest dynasty in NFL history, as well they should. But I also believe History will also remember and note there was only one team Brady and Belichick could not beat in the "Big Game" not once but twice!!! Our NY Giants...... Anybody with me.
never

they spygated for 3 and carroll-blundered for another.

don't give them this.
No...
Saos1n : 1/23/2017 2:07 pm : link
If the Falcons beat the Patriots, I don't believe it will diminish what the 07' and 11' teams did...

I don't want to you watch BB and Brady hoist another... I'm over it...

Rather see D Quinn get one... extremely likeable guy whom his players seem to love.. I'd also like to see Matty Ice get over the hump and Julio deserves one... also, there's no doubt in my mind that Tony Gonzalez will be in attendance and it would be nice to see him watch his former team take a trophy home...

Just my opinion
Exactly my thoughts

the more superbowls Bill and Tom win the more impressive Eli and Giants look taking them down twice. Also Bill Belichak is a Giant for life for getting us two super bowls. Really like Edelman and the black unicorn also.
Meh

I don't hate the Patriots like many, in fact I will always feel indebted to BB for the brilliant game plan he put together for SB XXV. However I get personal joy whenever another team joins the ranks of SB champions before the Eagles.
I guess I want the Falcons.
Boy Cord : 1/23/2017 2:14 pm : link
One more organization that wins the title before the Eagles.
Spend a weekend or two in Boston,

Plus want to see more of BB smooching his girlfriend

Super Bowl comparisons between the Patriots and the Giants, people other than Giants fans aren't going to ask you what the Giants record was against N.E., they are going to ask, "How come the Giants didn't get there every time the Pats did - or to at least as many times in the general Brady/Eli era?"
AS usual if the Giants aren't in the game...

I hope Atlanta beats Tom Brady like the

Dan Quinn and the Falcons.

You know the NFL interests will be "rooting" for their golden boy Tom Brady and Belichick.

I agreed with you when they played teh Seahwaks

as I also hated that Seahawks team, but a win here means they pass the Giants for Lombardis -- so I'm rooting hard for the Falcons.

I'm also just so sick of the Pats. Pats-Steelers was such an unappealing AFC championship game to me.
I know the argument
81_Great_Dane : 1/23/2017 3:36 pm : link
that if only the Giants were able to beat the Brady/Belichik Patriots in the Super Bowl, that reflects well on the Giants.

Funny, but I don't care about that at all.

The Pats are the great NFL dynasty of this era. The Giants have done just fine over the same period, and their two Super Bowl wins were fantastic, but their results and the Patriots' results over that time aren't comparable.

"The Patriots beat everyone but the Giants" narrative ignores the fact the Pats win their division and make the playoffs almost every year, so they've lost in the playoffs A LOT. Four AFC championship game losses, two divisional round losses, even a wild card round loss. So there are two Super Bowl losses to the Giants, but three playoff losses to the Broncos, two to the Ravens, one to the Colts, even one to the Jets.

In other words, we're special, but we're not that special.
I am very happy with this matchup.

The least offensive, of all the possibles, just a couple weeks ago.

Definitely going for Atlanta. Matt Ryan getting his first won't be too tough for me to see ... and all things considered, seeing New England's fans bummed will be nice.

I also like the fact that if the Patriots lose, their record in Super Bowls will be 4-and-5, sinking them back under .500. Yet another zinger to toss in there along with the 07 and 11 Giants stuff.
I just want the Falcons to blow them out

SUPER special! lol
Rooting for Falcons because they don't have a SuperBowl trophy.

Spend 5 minutes in Philly and tell me Eagles fans can't swallow enough misery.
Steelers/Pats
Tark10 : 1/23/2017 4:45 pm : link
This game was a joke. The Steelers never showed up. I'm beginning to believe these games are fixed. It's sad they have to make it so obvious. No effort from Pittsburgh at all. Bell quits and useless hand tackling. No rush on Brady and Hogan is open all day long. No sour grapes here. I really didn't care which team won the game.

to do with 2007 and 2011.
no doubt want Patriots

so forever it has to be mentioned that Giants are only team to beat BBAnd Brady in the SB. it certainly elevates the Glen. Atlanta winning doesn't get us any bragging rights.

We already have (and will forever have) bragging rights.

this could have been posted on one of the several existing threads.

Unless there's a breakdown of offense and defense, why start a Go Patriots thread on a Giants site.

I don't share B's disdain for the Pats but this is useless.

Where's gidieNess? Need to delete the useless threads to keep traffic up.

Fix? The Steelers got steamrolled. Frainkly I was taken aback by how superior the Pats looked. They got their stinker out of their system against the Texans and still won by multiple scores. That only made them mad against the Steelers.

Pats are winning 51. Falcons are fun to watch, but there will be no stopping this Pats juggernaut. Best balanced team in the NFL by far. They are also on a mission to stick it to the league office similar to 2007, but they had big blue to contend with then. They lost one of the best offensive players in the league to a season ending injury too.

Looking to make some money? Pats giving three is a lock.
