NFT: New HVAC Price Question

Been shopping for a few months. Did some negotiation and ended up with $7000 for the whole system. Is that a fair price for a 3.5 ton 1 stage A/C and 2 stage furnace with a humidifier included? Model is a Daikin.

Thanks guys. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. It's about even or maybe a little lower than some other estimates.

I think I paid about $6k for a Trane system

What SEER rating? That will impact price.

In 2012 I had to replace units for both of my zones. I got a Carrier 3.5 Ton, SEER 13 and a Carrier 3.0 Ton 13 SEER for $8927 total. This was near Clearwater FL. The SEER 15 versions were about $1K more total (approx $500 per unit).

I got estimates from 3 different companies. I liked the middle priced company best and got him to meet the price of the lowest estimate. I would recommend trying to do something like that if you could.
