but I believe I saw the stupidest call ever made on a basketball court by an officiating crew last night.
Final minute, Bryant drives on Swanigan and they both go down in an obvious block/charge call. Could've gone either way - Vitale thought it was a charge, I thought it was a block, but it was definitely a 50/50 call - so much so that two officials call it differently.
So what do these Mensa candidates do? they stop the game for MINUTES while they debate over what the call is. Then get this - they can't agree, so they call a DOUBLE FOUL THAT FOULS BOTH PLAYERS OUT ON A PLAYER CONTROL CALL.
Everyone is bewildered until Vitale breaks the silence and says "Oh that's a cop out! Give me a break." Could be the nail in the coffin for Tom Crean.

There's been plenty of nails in the coffin for tom Crean this season.
last night. But Walton is just absolutely insufferable. Absolutely Fucking awful.
He had an awesome line...
"What an AWESOME pass by TJ Leaf"..... as the ball was 5 feet over the cutter's head and went into the 7th row for a turnover.
There was a game IU played against UNLV last year where walton went on for 2 minutes talking about how impressive the body symmetry of colin Hartman was...for pretty creepy to say the least.
Also in the game the other broadcaster was asking how Luke Walton was doing (he got carjacked like a day or two before, same theif also assaulted an elderly lady) and he responded, not even knowing of the incident, saying "I didn't know Luke had a car".
And then my all time favorite Bill Walton moment (I won't spoil it for anybody). Watch for yourself. Link - ( New Window )
pretty good - still entertaining more than enlightening from a basketball standpoint. But then he became completely intolerable for some reason. At this point I can't watch a game he's doing. His whole tie dye, hippy-ish, cool-old-stoner-but-not-cool-at-all act is fucking nauseating.

Yup, I told me wife that it would be a good game, but I couldn't watch it because Walton is such an ass-clown! I watched the replay of the golf tournament at Pebble Beach.
Agree completely.
College ball >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA horseshit
Bradley is probably their best. Jackson 2nd. I would have Hicks 3rd.
Perry Ellis, I mean Nigel Hayes with the game winner. Hayes has just set an NCAA record with a GW shot in 7 different years in the NCAA.
Walton just named 20 different people who spoke at UCLA. Seriously, he is fucking intolerabble.
Why blowing timeouts early costs you.
