MotownGIANTS : 2/11/2017 12:04 pm
Anyone know of a reputable site besides Steiner that I can try and get Movie, NYG and Celtic items.

ebay is reliable
pjcas18 : 2/11/2017 12:05 pm : link
depending on what you want and the seller.

Really ... I try to be optimistic but don't want to get taken. Got any sellers you can recommend or dealt with in the past?

I have a good friend who is not only reliable but also had Sports Illustrated do articles on him and his collection. If you want SI covers with the signature of whoever is on the cover, I can connect you with him. I am sure there are some covers with Giants on them.
Unless you're collecting for appreciation, just buy the knockoffs

save yourself the cash and the concern that somehow you're being ripped off.

It depends what you're looking for. I'm not a huge autograph guy, but I love old school prints.

I have a 16x20 Miracle on Ice.

I have Bavaro dragging the 49ers.

I have Parcells on the teams shoulders.

I have the ball going through Buckner's legs and Mookie running to first.

I have a couple LT action photos.

I have the Tyree catch.

Prints like that.

I have no games used jerseys or autographed stuff other than a couple baseballs that were given to me as gifts from Steiner.

Then I just look at the seller feedback rating on ebay which isn't like a yelp rating, to provide feedback on an ebay transaction you have to have had a transaction with the person, so it's more reliable.
Not looking for anything specific
MotownGIANTS : 2/11/2017 12:32 pm : link
I do want signed stuff to place in a few strategic places.

I know Manning LT stuff is always going to cost. The Bavaro signed cover was on sale at Steiner ... think I may get that one.

Wanted to movie stuff in Jr section of the cave as well.

As suggested above, Ebay actually is pretty legit when it comes to this stuff. They constantly monitor the sellers of memorabilia
I have gotten a few things from

Outfitted mine
Beer Man : 2/11/2017 6:45 pm : link
with a number of beer signs/lights, billiards decor, and a stand that holds about 18 to 20 beer tap handles. All purchased on ebay. Plus finding beer tap handles that I wanted took awhile but was fun.
Wife and I own an antique eclectic resell store
montanagiant : 2/12/2017 12:36 am : link
If you want I can send you a link to it and see what you like. I got everything from the front of a 1942 Willys jeep army grill with the canvas still attached, to a Jim Bean chair made out of Casks and a 5' tall Hamms styrofoam bear
Nothing wrong with eBay at all.

I have purchased and or won in auction 10’s of thousands of items there since the mid 90’s. It all really depend s on you doing your research on the seller. I always deal with ones who have been active for awhile and have good ratings. I also take the time to read reviews of the seller good or bad some of the bad reviews can be misleading so the time spent is worth it.

Many on the site will post a negative reviews based on the item they purchased took a week longer than promised to arrive and things like that rather than the actual item was flawed or a fake. I also only deal with sellers who specialize in what I am looking for rather than selling everything under the sun to make money. You are more likely to get a runoff rather than authentic with sites and sellers who are trying to sell any and everything.

Other sites like Steiner sell on eBay as well and at the end of the day you get what you pay for. I have been collecting autograph memorabilia about 30 years now personally autographed and purchased solely for my enjoyment not for resale and will only buy or bid on items that are authentic. But as said above if you are looking for items for décor in the cave and are not concerned about authentic items there are many available.

My one recommendation to you would be spend the few extra dollars on displaying them. The pictures have either professionally framed or DIY with a nice frame and mat. Any helmets/ball’s/jersey’s have displayed in a case or frame it makes the world of difference in look and style. I see way too many pictures of man caves with people putting everything they have on the walls just to display it and looks like shit IMO.

EBay, Steiner, Fanatic Authentic are some of who I have used.
Hope this helps and good hunting.
What's your email
Big Rick in FL : 2/12/2017 11:35 am : link
I can put you in contact with someone who can probably help you out with guys who currently play for the Giants.
FYI

Another thing to keep in mind when buying items from anyone for authentic items a COA (certificate of authenticity) should be required. With that said many sites out there will proclaim it comes with one but this means nothing if it is not from a reputable company. All they have to do is create one in their name and that promise is fulfilled not necessarily meaning the item is real.

So buying from reputable sellers may cost a little more at times you are more often than not getting the real deal. Also in regards to the COA with some off the market sellers I only buy items from them that come with an additional certificate from JSA.
JSA is a secondary market authentication company that inspects items and certifies them for their authenticity or if it’s a forgery.
I was able to pickup
MotownGIANTS : 2/20/2017 4:03 pm : link
(ITP) Celtics - Tiny Archibald Jersey ... and 2 NYG Jerseys Ottis Anderson (PSA/DNA) & Phil Simms (JSA)

Thanks for the advice and constructive comments.
