I can't imagine the amount of indignation that would happen if Obama was called President Nappy Head or something along those lines, but yet we will file President Agent Orange under the heading of creative awesomeness.
Award shows ironically just highlight the hypocrisy that insult throwing one direction is OK - the other direction, not so much.
and if any of it is true it affirms why I cannot stand her. His LeBron comparison is spot on, but she's actually far worse. I listen to the women in my office literally worship her every move and its insane to me.
The moment she "announced" she was pregnant and heard the women in my office gush over them I asked them "are there any other pregnant women in the world or is it just Beyonce".

I just muted it and turned to doing other things. Â

comparison at this point is pretty silly, imo. President Nappy Head has some racial overtones to it - while Agent Orange refers to an old man using too much bronzer.
If Beyonce's kids are anything less than Jesus and Buddha Â
who thought a visibly overweight Busta’s appellation for the Prez was “creative awesomeness”. More like cringe-worthy and as unimaginative as Tribe’s latest album (the song Dis Generation aside).
Even if it were, surely you can recognize the difference between a racially coded stereotype and one that pokes fun at a bad spray tan.
To be honest, I’d always thought you above the fairly pitiable conservative persecution complex more at home with those possessive of far lower IQs.
they shoved a good portion of Beyonce's family down our throat too. Nice continuous shots of Jay Z, and they kids running around. They should just hold the awards at the 'Z' house next year. Also during the TCQ preformance, all 250 microphones worked, but only 50% worked for Metaligaga - which is probably for the better.
Beyonce is more talented than many on her give her credit for. I think she has shown to be a great performer and singer and has the ability to do both at the same time at a high energy that few performers can do.
That said, last night's "performance" was one of-- if not the most obnoxious, self-indulgent things I have ever seen. Suddenly she's the Virgin Mary, Earth Mother, and Sun Goddess all wrapped into one? Get out of here. Just obnoxious garbage.
that tackling appearance shouldn't be tolerated, and most definitely wouldn't be if the last President, or even if it was Bill Clinton were smeared for a comment about appearance.
I think I understand what Trump supporters go through Â
I thought Busta was dead. From the comments it would appear he rose from the dead and he and Beyoncé channelled Kanye while hating on the president. Very yawn worthy.

Those aren't remotely comparable insults.
Theres a reason why Agent Orange was said and no Mr. Pumpkin face or Mr. Orange Sherbet.

I guess it's good I skipped watching the Grammys. Actually can't remember the last time I even watched.

As long people continue trying to justify one as worse than the other instead of admitting they're all counter-productive and juvenile, everything will still suck.
but if you think that previous presidents weren't made fun of for their appearance than you are sorely mistaken, really sorely mistaken.
Also, this particular president has opened the door for mocking peoples appearance with his own behavior on twitter etc.
I think it's also a sign of the times, I don't think we'll ever have a president again who doesn't have a strong social media presence.
I do think that wives and children should be off limits. The SNL writer was rightfully chided IMO for poking fun at Trumps kid and it was wrong when they did it to chelsea clinton 25 years ago.

Melania should be off limits as well.
If the goal is to make fun of W. lisp, or Barack's ears or Trumps anything - thats fine. But Like I said.... agent orange was used for a particular reason and it was more than just his skin color.

It was political commentary (that isn't unearned...), not just some obtusely racist insult just because.
Do people seriously believe that there's some powerful elite Â
that want Beyonce to become this popular in an attempt to further some social agenda, rather than just line their pockets?
It's the entertainment industry - they care about money first. And second, third, and fourth. Over the years they've stood behind all kinds of shitty characters in order to cash in, and that's never going to change.
I think instead the average American is tired of being told what to do, say and believe by the media and social elites who live in a bubble and if they disagree made to feel like they are a terrible person.
Who was the girl who called for the Grammys crowd to bring the same enthusiasm to a Dakota pipeline protest? Trainwreck.
Many of these people don't realize that a very large majority of the country has had enough of them and so they continue to hurt their own "cause".

I think you're vastly overestimating the average American.
If that's the way they felt, the ratings on shitshows like these (and I'm going by description, I didn't watch) would be poor.
If Americans were tired of celebs, they wouldn't have elected a reality star into the Oval Office, and they wouldn't be watching nearly enough of poorly behaved housewives for them to demand high salaries.
The average American is feeding this monster, and then turning around and bitching about it.
If you think America voted in Trump because he was on a reality TV show, you really missed the point the last 2 years.
Yeah, it was just an outsider vote, had nothing to do with his celebrity status. If that's what you think, please resume your rant, my post won't benefit you in any way.

Agreed. It does seem like most people have the right idea though to show these elites that we don't care about their opinion which is to give clicks to sites who write about them, share it on Facebook with a one-liner saying something about how we don't care, and then crying on BBI. Some even say "LIKE AND SHARE IF YOU DON'T GIVE A DAMN." Very catchy.
And then she's up there with her golden card reading some inane speech. Get over yourself, honey.
Explain to me why I should care that Beyonce is pregnant again?
And Adele felating her was nauseating.

Lots of great indy stuff, but mainstream contemporary music is overwhelmingly poor.

Not on a sunday night when there are no good sports on. Last night after the Wisconsin and UVA games were over it was absolute shit.
Do old people do anything other than complain about award shows between Bingo matches?
Die, sometimes.
Old people (this thread) ruined social media for kids like you and I.
