Elway, the Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations/general manager, has said that team will be "involved in free agency." And to that end the Broncos were already working Monday to at least meet with wide receiver Victor Cruz. |
that would literally make me vomit.

so that I can continue to root for him. Would love for it to be the Patriots, I think that BB would make good use of whatever he has left.

Absolutely. Romo and Cruz definitely would have made that 2011 divisional playoff game more competitive than Tebow and Eddie Royal did.
Not sure where the Victor Cruz #Broncos stuff started but I was just told "we haven't even discussed that possibility, yet."

Which means they're heavyily into negotiations

+1
STILL, he was in radical decline before the injuries. He dropped more balls than a top receiver should. He took a hit in Pitts and seemed shy afterwards. And the truth is his time of high production was not even a season long but limited to a few games.
When you take the amount of money he parlayed that superb but very limited production into.......
But honestly I'm shocked he's getting looks this quickly.
Get the popcorn ready if it happens.
Huh? And Peyton isn't there anymore. Romo can't make it thru
the preseason now, and Cruz is a shell of what he was.

No need to shit on the guy on the way out.
Romo isn't finished. The problem is him staying healthy, but if he can stay healthy he's still a good QB. IMO the Cowboys will be making a big mistake letting him go. Dak will come back down to Earth in his 2nd year just like RG3, Foles & Kaepernick did. He benefit tremendously from playing a very weak schedule.
1. He was coming off injury - I think the 2 years off showed up towards end of year when he did fade a bit .
2. Cruz 's stats are not so bad for 3rd WR they are actually similar to Sheppard
his yards and per catch yards are right up there just his number of catches is way down.
3. Even with Cruz's reduced role in the offense there were a number of times during the year were Cruz came up with the GAME WINNING Catch. Cruz has always been and continues to be a gamer .
Don't write Cruz off .. I think he will have a successful year next year for some team.
He may feel, there is something left in the tank, and that he did play out of position....
I thought the Giants would offer him an incentive contract, and give him the opportunity to win a job in camp.....maybe that wasn't his plan....

I completely disagree with you. I think he would have taken a huge pay cut to stay with the team but the team just wanted to give the young guys a chance.
I think he will have a hard time landing on a roster anywhere
