WR's in the draft: Who do you like?

rasbutant : 2/13/2017 8:20 pm
who do you like and at what price point (i.e. what round)?

I've just started to watch video of WR's on draftbreakdown. I'm already surprised that Mike Williams isn't in the discussion as a top 5 pick, maybe a stretch but not even discuss as a possible No 1 overall. Now i don't think he's that good, but top 5 seems right, and once you are in that top 5, need could elevate you so why not discuss it? I'm just surprised no one has mocked him there yet.
I'm not sure of his ability to separate.

He wins in battles for the ball, but if he had great speed I'd be more excited about him. Don't get me wrong, I really like him. But I can see some areas of concern.

I'm anxious to see the Combine performances of the WRs to get more of a sense of them. I sure like Davis's physical skills, though.
Davis and Smith Schuster

I don't think either will be available at 23 or when they are up again in round 2.
Kupp
Reb8thVA : 2/13/2017 8:38 pm : link
And Zay Jones
rounds two

JuJu Smith Shuster

Will most likely be around when our pick comes up in the 2nd round unless he runs MUCH better then expected.
Mack

Hollins, UNC. Missed most of 2016 with a broken collarbone. 6'4", 210, and a special teams ace. Goes round three at the latest.
I would absolutely love

Ardarius Stewart in Rd 2 or 3. Has a warrior mentality and is a very physical and clutch player.

Chad Hansen...Josh Reynolds.

Will run in the 4.2-4.3 range. Great hands. Just what we need. Will he be there? Probably not. But he is that dude.

KWALL2 : 2/14/2017 12:54 am : link
This guy is super athletic AND he knows how to play. He's going to be a very good NFL WR. I think he's a round 2 guy and after his workout so will many draft gurus.

I' know some want size at the other WR spot but I'll take this 6 footer. He plays big and he's explosive with excellent hands.

I want Taylor on the Giants.
Ross in round 1
KWALL2 : 2/14/2017 12:56 am : link
If the OL or DL guy isn't there I'm happy with Ross in round 1.
In order
Big Rick in FL : 2/14/2017 6:47 am : link
Mike Williams (No shot at him)
Corey Davis (Might be there at 23)
Zay Jones
Ardarius Stewart
Cooper Kupp

Just watched a bunch of Carlos Henderson over the weekend and I like him a lot also. He averaged 19.6 yards per catch for his career. In 2016 he had 1535 receiving yards and 19 TDs at 18.7 yards per catch. He also had 133 rush yards & 2 TDs at 9.5 yards per carry. His combine will be huge for him. I've seen him listed anywhere from 5'11 165 to 6' 191. Gotta see his actual size.
Does Drew Boylhart read BBI?

Sounds more like an UDFA...
I've been a fan of Cooper Kupp for a long while now...
Torrag : 2/15/2017 12:35 am : link
...that said for me he's slotted between our picks at #23 and #55. We'd have to maneuver around the board a bit to get value for him.
Amba Etta-Tawo
JonC : 2/15/2017 11:51 am : link
Interested to see where he projects as we move closer, and if an option in the 2nd round.
Carlos Henderson is a day three prospect...
Milton : 2/15/2017 1:11 pm : link
...that Boylhart likes a lot.
Quote:
Carlos has talent similar to Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. He has that type of speed and quickness in and out of his breaks. He shows the acrobatic body to adjust to the ball in the air and the hands to one catch the ball or two catch the ball while being contested...but putting up numbers like 232 total receiving yards against Western Kentucky and 326 total receiving yards against Massachusetts really doesn’t compare to putting up the numbers Odell did against SEC competition. Nevertheless you have to have talent at any level to put up those types of numbers as a receiver. The combine will be big for Carlos along with his workouts too. Getting speed numbers on this kid will be very important for him to move up in this draft.
TE 3rd round or so
idiotsavant : 2/15/2017 1:26 pm : link
WR, after that, 4th or even later rounds

here is a 6'4" 240 possible 6th rounder, or is it 5th?
