NFT: Givling - February update

BlackLight : 2/15/2017 3:02 pm
I posted about this a month ago - and wanted to provide a quick update. Here's a link to that post, so nobody's forced to read through it all again if they caught it the first time:

A few notes:

Daily users keep climbing - from around 1,000 per day in early December to about 6,000 per day a month ago. Last week, the average was over 9,600.

It's still free to sign up, and there are now two free rounds of trivia per day, up from one.

About two weeks ago, Givling paid off another student loan. Here's the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsQnWltBamY

If you land in the Live Funding Queue, Givling will pay your publicly or privately-held student loans up to $50,000, or your mortgage up to $25,000.

Some people are inherently skeptical about things like this - I get it. But if you have student loan or mortgage debt, if you like playing trivia and can spare a few minutes a day playing it, you should consider signing up.

I'm happy to field any questions. The link to the site is below. You can also check them out on Facebook and Twitter (@Givling) and my invite code is AS225966 - please use that if you decide to sign up.

And thank you again to all those who have signed up previously.

What's your queue number? I'm like 100K lol. I can't imagine it will ever get to me

I'm something like 21,000. But actually, your Queue number is mostly irrelevant now. When I first joined, loans were paid off in the order the person joined, but it was such slow going, and most people with high Queue numbers thought the same thing you did - "I'll never get close." So they changed it.

Right now, only 30% of the people in the Funding Queue are getting based on the Queue number. Another 30% get in by being top funders of the Queue (by buying extra rounds of trivia for $0.50 each - this is completely voluntary).

The last 40% of those in the Funding Queue are selected randomly in a lottery. To improve your chances, you need to acquire Queue Points (QPs). Three ways to do this - Play your two free rounds of trivia each day (worth 1 QP each), or Refer people to join (like I'm doing here - worth 5 QPs each) or if you play the app on Android or iPhone, you can interact with ads after you play your free trivia rounds (interacting is worth 10 QPs). Every QP you get is another ticket in the lottery.

So the odds aren't as long as they may appear. Every time a new Funding Queue is selected, everyone's QPs get zeroed out, so you're on a level playing field.
One thing I should have mentioned

You can play the game as an app on either Android or iPhone.

I signed up under your reference number and have been playing everyday. Still don't understand it completely, but appreciate the invite and info!

Awesome to hear from you. Thanks for signing up. The company is talking about having 100,000 active users by May 1st, which could equate to them paying off a loan per day. That seems really optimistic, but with scalability, I suppose it's possible. They had about a 900% increase in daily users between December and February. No real reason another 900% increase can't happen in the next 2-1/2 months.
i don't think

This should be allowed here. The web is filled with these type of "click my referral link so I get points" type deals. Do we really want this site to become that, however altruistic the nature of the concept is (which it isn't by the way).
