Fascinating palace intrigue. Good article, with some nice insight at the end. So.....he is either back to being a complete boozehound or Snyder wants to banish him and start making the football decisions. Good for us either way. Cheers!

1. A team employee, on a Dan Snyder-owned radio station, falsely suggested that the team’s general manager relapsed into drinking. That seems not great.
2. A team employee, on a Dan Snyder-owned radio station, correctly guessed that the team’s general manager relapsed into drinking. That, also, seems not great.
3. A team employee was fed unflattering information about the team’s general manager by a palace rival, which he then placed into the public sphere, via a Dan Snyder-owned radio station. That seems both impossibly Machiavellian, and also in-keeping with modern D.C.
And also: not great.
After we ended their season there were some mentions in the media that Snyder just never wanted Cousins and sees his 'success' as a personal slight. Which seems bizarre, but in keeping with Snyder's previous.

Go. Nahh even Snyder is not that stupid.

Bizarre for some, but it would fit his ego to the T if true. Supposedly, he's pissed because Cousins was Shanahan's pick. I'm sure the hardline negotiating stance hasn't helped his cause with him either.
I don't remember much about him, aside from him kind of being a clown. Good player for a while.
Literal question - why is he garbage?
There are other examples of Cooley shooting off his mouth without knowing anything, but - like I said - he fits in perfectly at that station with guys like Czaban, Doc Walker, etc. The very early morning guy - Al Galdi - is an exception. He's very, very good.
This. I hope it's not true, but if anything will drive someone to drink, it would be working for Danny boy.
If this is subterfuge to ruin McCloughan's reputation, that is disgusting, even for Snyder.
It's bad radio.
That's absolutely true. I mean, most teams do that to a point, but few to the extent of the Redskins.
