PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — New York Jets cornerback and former Pitt star Darrelle Revis has been injured after getting into an altercation on the South Side.
His lawyer told KDKA it happened when he came home to visit family and friends this weekend.
While he was in town, he was allegedly assaulted by a group of five people.
Revis’ lawyer said he feared for his safety and eventually went to get medical treatment.
There’s no word on how badly he was injured in the incident.

Which would be funny since the Steelers haven't had a competent cornerback in what seems like a decade
Sirius actually retweeted the article I linked. What did they report initially?
Yes. It was on the air shortly after you posted the article. In the Sirius report I think they said there was a cop driving around and saw some of it.

If true, Revis is an asshole. He should have just walked away. Now he could be sued in a civil court for a lot of money.
:-)
I mean every day I get hassled on the subway by beggars it's instant KTFO.
robbery charged will be dropped. Terrorisitic threats is laughable. Conspiracy to do what? Pathetic.
Aggrevated assualt will be brought down to al ow class misdameanor. He will settle with them out of court. They will get some $$$ all charged will be dropped and more tax dollars go to waste.

"Prosecutor here-- First of all- Terroristic threats sounds much worse than it actually is. It is threating to commit a crime of violence against someone. So if mid fight you yell "I'm gonna fuck you up" "Kill your mom" whatever....we add T-Threats."
Revis will most likely walk away with probation, but it'll cost him some serious coin, i.e. lawyer's bill & probably a civil suit.
Although it likely wouldn't be 100% true, it would be pretty easy for him to make the argument that at the moment he feared for his life and was defending himself. I'm sure the cell phone vid will add some context to help make that determination.
Also this could have been much worse - a lot of professional athletes carry guns on them specifically for situations like this, where it may not be very clear whether the person is a fan or trying to rob them.

The authorities have already seen the video from the phone. Then they decided to press charges against Revis, yet none against the other guys. That doesn't look good for Revis. Sure, more will become known to public, but the authorities obviously thought he was wrong enough, from whatever they seen, to go after him.
