I donated platelets so had spare time and watched "Arrival." What a great movie. No real action, but a fantastic story, great writing and top-notch acting.
Today I am home with a sick kid and saw "The Accountant." I am not a huge Affleck fan, but this was full of action, cool story and, as much as it kills me to say this, Affleck was very good.
Highly recommend them both.
Having said that, I have every expectation that The Accountant sucks.
Is Arrival even still in theaters? Pretty sure I can watch it at home on pay per view.

This week is my choice and I want to see this movie.

I saw it on DVD.
Hacksaw Ridge was terrific.
I kept waiting for something in The Arrival to be good. I'm still waiting. Did not agree with the hype at all.
Arrival was awesome, IMO. Completely unexpected take on the genre and I like how the story unraveled. Villaneuve is one of the top directors in the business right now.
I also saw Patriots Day. Its really good.
Bleed for this - also pretty good, but for some reason I thought I'd like it more.
Edge of 17 was good too.
The Accountant was okay, but with about 30 min to go I was ready for them to wrap it up.
Tried to watch La La Land - I just wasn't in the mood when I sat down. Neither was my GF which says a lot b/c she had been really wanting to see it.
Split - this movie was good, but pretty creepy. Its PG`13 so it could have been much creepier.
Saw all but Split at home using Kodi. Kodi is great.
Really enjoyed that movie.

Nocturnal Animals
Zootopia
War on Everyone
John Wick 2
I know I am forgetting a few more.
I liked The Accountant too but did not see hilarity in any scenes. You must be referring to the weird way he lived.
Just watched that tonight, very good show. I always love those shows where they keep it as true to the real story as possible.

I agree about Affleck. He's for no Range. He takes why he's ok in some roles and IMO painful in others
