If Mets/Jets are objectively the moat compelling or important topics of the day, by all means, dedicate 90 percent of your airtime to them. But Evan talks his own teams wayyyy too much for a drive time show.
ESPN Radio's Dave Rothenberg. Finally a knowledgeable Giants fan and his side kick Santiago is hard core Cowboys fan. Makes for good radio. Rothenberg also has a good feel for all of the major NY sport teams including Rangers/Islanders.

Interesting, I've been telling people for awhile I thinks he's the best sports radio guy in NY right now. I don't like anyone else on 98.7 though with the possible exception of Don LaGreca. Kay's to smug, Stephen A. is Stephen A, hate Rosenberg and Hahn and Humpty are literally unlistenable.

Rothenberg is by far the best NYG radio host in NYC. They need to have a legit NYG to replace Mike.
I think he would be a great choice but I imagine they want a big name. There is nobody on either station except Rothenberg who would be good. Unfortunately it looks like the Fan will go the Beningo Evan route and the choice between them and Kay means I'll be listening to a lot more music

Richard Neer is horrendous. I have never encountered a more boring radio "personality" in my life. He is the auditory equivalent of watching paint dry.
I would think that they would probably go to a 10-2 and 2-6 format after Mike is gone.
