One of the big fails of the PP imo is that when the Rangers make the cross point pass or the cross-ice pass--and that should get the PK team moving and the keeper moving toward the puck--DON'T GIVE THEM ENOUGH TIME TO RE-SET to that part of the ice.
Instead, Rangers stick handle, looking for the "next" perfect pass or shot. It's maddening.
And Grabauer isn't really a backup, he's having an amazing year.

Penguins and Isles have all world playmakers at center, Caps have a good one (Backstrom) but he's not on the level of Crosby or Tavares
Thought he was saying the caps didn't deserve but didn't phrase it well. I don't know, he's an idiot regardless. I really think NBC could do such a better job covering the league than they do. Starting with better studio analysts.

I missed his comments but regardless of which team he was talking about I'm just not sure why he always needs to act like such a drama queen. Was this not a pretty evenly played game overall? Two power plays for each team and both teams had 30-32 shots overall. Why must one team be undeserving? Either team could have won and the Rangers made one extra play. That's hockey.
team played well, I thought Zib and Staal had a strong games, and of course HL. We looked a bit heavy legged in the 3rd and glad they hung on for the win. Gotta improve the spacing on our odd-man rushes, seems like we pinch in and make it easier for the defender back to disrupt the feed.
changing the offside rule so that a skate in the air over the blue line would be considered onside, which would make sense to me. It would make it easier on the linesmen too.
