short of a fake boxer played by Sylvester Stallone, a bartender who covered kickoffs for a couple years is about the best sports hero they can muster up.
and it does not matter that it was in Philly. You have a guy who gets a shot. A hard working guy. How can you not root for that? BTW, I met Papale in the St Louis Airport two years ago. He was looking for an outlet to charge his phone and I happened to be sitting next to the only one in the gate area. Motioned to him to come share the outlet. We spoke for a little while. Really nice guy.
I saw it a while back, it was a decent movie...Greg Kinnear was pretty good as a young Dick Vermeil. Nowhere near as good as Rudy, but there are far worse movies out there
The movie has a happy ending. The Eagles don't win ...
OK, I'll give them Dr J. But he was from NY
not an oscar nominee but I've spent two hours on worse stuff.
So absolutely not.
Fuck em. Fuck em all.
This.
Or ... whatever.
gidie I gotcher NTF right here, buddy. :)
Seriously?
And its nowhere near as good a movie as Rudy.
He was a pretty good athlete, but never played college football, just some semi pro.....
And then one day Vermiel had open tryouts, and at the age of 30, somehow he makes the team......a real life "Rocky" story....
It's a good story......gets a thumbs up from me....
