Big win against those beltway skidmarks on Saturday. Gotta keep the roll going against the team that we will more than likely see in the first round. Not sure if any lineup changes yet but it's likely safe to say Henrik is in the cage and Clendo is in the press box.

Love beating these francophone fucks and their gremlin looking coach "Clode"

Let's fucking go

Haven't seen Kreider run into Lundqvist before.

Still holding onto the fantasy that Kreider wasn't tripped causing him to crash into Price. Fucking delusional. Nothing new.

Every objective viewer knows Emelin tripped up Kreider and outside of Vaginatown he hasn't garnered the reputation those two sloppy gashes have all over the league.

I never said anything other than Kreider is a player who would run into a goalie. after some asshole makes a comment about twats or something.

Kreider has that reputation, whether you like it or not.

Maybe Kreider was never taught how to hockey stop - ( New Window )

Some asshole? A liitle sensitive there PJ? Embarrassing that you can't accept it for what it truly was 3 years later but that's expected when you're loyal to that franchise. And if you can't admit to the kind of players Shaw and Gallagher are, then you're simply blind and disingenuous.

put the bottle down. Gallagher didn't try and injure anyone. and I never said Kreider tried to injure anyone, but he doesn't shy away from running into a goalie. The link I provided has multiple examples of Kreider running into goalies. Some are caused/helped by others, some are not.

Just an example for the holier than thou Rangers fans that this is hockey, it happens, every team has players that have an edge to them. Kreider is one. Gallagher is one.
I didn't say anything about Gallagher

LOL, I'm not being sensitive I know you meant twat squad in the friendliest way possible. Like I meant asshole.

I have to run, I have my own game at 10.

I hope the Canadiens keep it close and the refs decide the game with a borderline call so the Rangers fans can do their usual complain about the refs routine.

Ha, I missed OT and the shootout, which is fine with me, but I'll take the point. Well played game. Great goaltending on both sides. MTL needed the point the Rangers didn't so it worked out for both teams.

OTT is heating up and the Panthers are red hot since getting healthy. Should be an interesting deadline and last 6 weeks.
I'm sorry

[was out to dinner, recorded and watched late last night]

PP is broken, and Arniel, or whoever it is who is responsible, should be removed from that assignment:
- coming out of their own end is painful and time wasting
- do not come across the blue line cleanly
- now resorting to dump and chase, on the PP

Most importantly, to my mind, they are way too compressed: instead of opening up the ice and space for passes and room to maneuver, they are drawing in together, makes it so much easier to the PK to defend. Too little cross ice switch of play and shoot, quickly

The passes down low to ~ the goal line are not working: no angle, not creating any movement by defenders

End of rant:

Vesey, very good two-way play last night; McD, as noted above, two great break out passes to Nash, too bad he pussyfooted the first. Kreider, mediocre game and that entire line has cooled off dramatically
Fast and Oscar looking good, Buch still looking a little lost and a step and pass slow. Skjel keeps coming on, adequate and often better in d end and likes the rush
Arniel should have been replaced two years ago

It's become a trend
pjcas18 : 2/22/2017 12:43 pm : link
league wide now it seems on power plays to skate up and drop the puck back to the trailer to carry in the zone.

I hate it because it seems like that's usually a defenseman and the other skaters are all stopped at the blue line with no momentum for a forecheck.

Makes PP zone entry harder, yet everyone is now doing it.

I think it also makes teams vulnerable to the trailer having their pocket picked and giving up short-handed chances.

dropping to the trailer
ColHowPepper : 2/22/2017 1:07 pm : link
at least 3x last night, that I recall, and likely a number more times, Rangers' d'man carrying was confused as to where the trailer was and who it should be, twice the drop occurred w/i five strides of the crease and the puck fumbled.

as a PK team, you gotta love it, just wastes more time and allows set-up, but in my mind, just to repeat myself, yuck, their set-up in the offensive end is premised to fail, and the numbers bear this out.

Greg, please send note to AV and Gort, I'll be happy to co-sign.

Stepan actually won a couple of face offs last night, hurray, and he's trying, grinding, 1st period seemed as if Habs won nearly every one. Who coaches taking the draw?
