Nothing earth shattering:
Bird has looked very good at the plate in the early going.
Holliday hit a bomb off the scoreboard and has been working with Aaron Judge as well. Gardner has also been taking a leadership/mentorship role, fitting for the longest tenured Yankee.
Ellsbury should be reporting any day now. His wife is due to give birth.
A-Rod is also getting rave reviews for his role as a mentor. The NY Post did a write-up on the subject this weekend.
Niese does have a shot to make the team as a lefty longman.
Also a link to the obligatory article singing the praises of Gleyber Torres.

shoes?
I was hoping that he would have announced a surprise retirement. Oh well.

yes. maybe he should spend more time with his family.
He sounds a bit like Swisher with his personality. Which could be a good thing, Swish brought some much needed personality after the Yanks clubhouse had become pretty ornery during the era that included Clemens, the ARod/Jeter cold war, and the bad juju at the end of Torre's reign
Good point about the language barrier, which is why ARod could prove extremely valuable in his new role, as a bilingual mentor to all of them
Fair points - my perception was Swish was the zany, fun prankster type, which seemed well received in the clubhouse. Im sure Frazier will say/do some stupid things and have to learn from them before he qualifies as a respected clubhouse leader

The Yankees announce they've traded Richard Bleier to Baltimore for cash considerations or player to be named. Bleier was DFA'd last week.
Absolutely, please don't take my comments to imply otherwise. Great guy, always worked his ass off. But the ability and the awareness to make adjustments isn't necessarily the same as the willingness to do so.

If everyone had the ability do it, everyone would be great. But you have to have the willingness at minimum.

How's that feel to know that a woman that has "enormous everything" would never give you the time of day? She's comfortable? Wtf does that even mean? That she doesn't give a shit what some clown on the internet thinks of her? Haha, classic BBI. Please send pics of yourself so we can all see what high standards she should try to set for herself.
Saw Didi, Headley and a bunch of no names take BP in the stadium, then headed out to the side field. I just missed Sanchez, but got to see Holiday, Judge and Frazier take BP.
Maybe it’s because he was standing too close to Judge, but Frazier looked a little small to me. (He’s listed as 5’ 11” 215, which is the same height and 20 lbs. heavier than “the Mick”…so I’m sure it’s a non-issue.)
The first thing you notice about Frazier is the long, curly, red hair hanging out the back of his helmet. Not sure how it passes Yankee grooming standards, but I’ll let the team worry about that.
The stadium has undergone major renovations including a new, multi-level gift shop, all new seats, a few new pubs and more covered areas to escape the sun. They’re still working on significant portions of it however and I don’t know how they’ll possibly finish by opening day this Friday.
It seems like yesterday that I was at “Legends Field” for the grand opening of the ballpark. I cornered Phil Rizzuto in the Yankee gift shop before the game and had him sign a ball. He seemed a little annoyed and refused my request to sign on the sweet spot.
Will go to my 24th straight Yankee Spring Training home opener on Friday (2 in Ft. Lauderdale in 94 and 95 and all 22 in Tampa). It's supposed to be in the low 80s. Hope it's not too cold where you are ;>)
that's great - sounds wonderful right about now ...

They’re expected to pay $25 million to $30 million per point and thought to be interested in one or two points. The Yankees are valued around $3 billion or more
