He's excellent at it, imo
The camera

that took the photo must have the world's fastest shutter, as it caught the nano second Schwartz was on the field for us.
He said he was retiring during super bowl week

I heard him on the radio a few times - he's really pretty good at it and sounds like a very smart guy. He's also a devout jewish man, which i didn't know.
Wait
ryanmkeane : 2/21/2017 12:00 pm : link

Yup, another self scout
favorite Geoff Schwartz NYG moment?
djm : 2/21/2017 12:06 pm : link
that time I envisioned him anchoring the right side for 3-4 years. That was cool.

Mine was posters on BBI defending his "bad luck" injuries and saying things like "well, if I was injured I'd be on twitter too!"

yeah. quite amusing.
Thanks

for your contributions to the Giants Geoff. Best of luck in your future. Look forward to hearing your analysis.
From Twitter or the NFL?

"defending injuries" isn't a thing.
Ten Ton Hammer : 2/21/2017 12:39 pm : link
However, acting like a jackass because a player gets hurt certainly is.
He was, at the time..
GiantsRage2007 : 2/21/2017 12:49 pm : link
A great signing I thought. Best G on the market and we got him right when FA opened.

When he played (albeit not that often) I thought he was great

Injuries suck.

Was it bad luck? Conditioning? Technique? I guess I think it was bad luck... He seems like a pretty smart football player who was prepared and knowledgeable about OL play... sometimes these things just happen... too bad, he would have looked good for us the past few years if healthy.

yes right, bad luck. He stared 7 games for the Chiefs the year before, 0 for Minny the year before that. He was never healthy. Dumb signing, perfect illustration of how "just do something" leads to a mess.
the twitter stuff didn't bother me in the least
djm : 2/21/2017 1:39 pm : link
...
The media
Metnut : 2/21/2017 1:44 pm : link
and Giants' beat writers sure seem to love him.

Personally, I think he plays the victim a bit too much for my taste after earnings millions of dollars from the giants (and taking up cap room) while contributing nil.
Nobody can expect injuries
Gman11 : 2/21/2017 2:17 pm : link
but I said it was a bad signing when it happened. Here was a guy that couldn't stick with a team more than a year and people were falling over themselves over him. Here's a hint for people: When teams keep dropping a guy it's not because he's too good for them.
Eh... good luck...
trueblueinpw : 2/21/2017 2:19 pm : link
Dudes probably lucky he's getting out now. He has some interesting things to say about LeCharles Bentley's camp.
Wish he could have stayed healthy...
Dunedin81 : 2/21/2017 2:21 pm : link
he was(/is) a good guy, just couldn't stay on the field.
He said he wants to spend more time with his injuries.....
WideRight : 2/21/2017 2:55 pm : link

.
Man I had high hopes for him
regulator : 2/21/2017 3:27 pm : link
He had the "look"... big and bulky, long arms, great size. Just couldn't put it all together with the injuries.
He's been on a news segment in Charlotte..
FatMan in Charlotte : 2/21/2017 3:29 pm : link
recently. Last night they were talking about Cam's poor season and how some fans are getting tired of him and his response was:

"For the most part, fans are stupid and react without thinking. I played with Eli Manning and fans were calling for his head! A two time Super Bowl MVP. Cam will be just fine and the fans will be cheering for him next year".
Sorry,
Doomster : 2/21/2017 3:47 pm : link
but even when healthy, he was not that good....it was just another desperate move by Reese that did not work out...
How many games did he even suit up as a Giant?
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 2/21/2017 6:19 pm : link
10? Less than that?

There’s nothing I regret from my career. I wish things in New York would have worked out better. I waited six years to sign that second contract, worked for it, and got it. But once I got to New York, I only played in 13 of 32 games, and I wasn’t close to being 100 percent healthy in any of those games. I understand we all play through injuries, and that excuse is somewhat hollow, but it’s what happened. I’m disappointed I couldn’t live up to that deal.
I love the excuses
WideRight : 2/21/2017 7:31 pm : link
He'll have a good career in communications.
Typical Phoney who
TMS : 2/21/2017 9:51 pm : link
played little and made a lot of $$$, then got started on a new career in media. Glad we cut him when we did. But Who TF signed him in the first place ? Thats has been our big problem.
Phoney?
bc4life : 2/22/2017 6:16 am : link
What a joke - if he could have played he would have.

Best of luck to him, body wore out when mind was still willing.

But to be honest, I didn't think he played that great when healthy.
Did he sprain anything
David B. : 2/23/2017 5:48 pm : link
in the process?
