Lol what? I stopped reading before any Jimmy butler talk even came up. I agree with the premise of starting Murray at PG but he's acting like Murray has been a marksman from deep and harris is struggling with his shot.

And you only want to trade Mudiay in a blockbuster so Denver doesn't regret giving up on his potential but you also want the PG to be benched in favor of a 2 guard in the starting lineup. Makes sense.

If the Nets play is in pick, sure. But Randle would thrive playing with a center who spaces the floor like Turner (just like he did at the beginning of this season) and Russell still has good 2 guard potential. Don't think that would be the worst trade given the fact it looks like George wants to leave. Can't help much for Indy's leverage.

The issue is that Bogdonavic is a guard and KOQ is a 4/5. Idk why Boston doesn't give a throw away euro and a late first but I don't think there's much of a market for bigs. Okafor is the only other one that's being discussed but the rumors that are floating around and all the deals so far after Boogie are for wing players.

But it's a new NBA, and there are cap floor considerations (basically, the $20 million may not cost the Nets owner one additional penny in actual payroll).

I'd be open to deactivating him the rest of the season too.

I'd worry that players would think it reflects poorly on NYK. He's entering his UFA offseason, so deactivation could really damage his value. He's also a big name, and history suggests that players are not quick to re-calibrate their opinions on stars who have lost their fastball -- lots of guys around the league probably still consider Rose a big star.

You have a top 10 pick as of now. You have no chance at the playoffs. Keeping him and going at this rate and parting ways at the end of the year is your best option.

How is a buy out a terrible message? You're doing right by a veteran player and letting him play for a contending team of his choice. Players never complain about buy outs in that situation.

I think Deej's point which I now agree with is that it sends the wrong message. Rose doesn't deserve to get rewarded by playing in a better situation because of his actions.

I want the Rose/ Rubio trade to happen too and I don't want them spending big money on George Hill but Hill is a much better player than Rubio.

Yup I'm more than ok with him. Has the tools to be a very good defender. If given the choice I might, MIGHT take him over smith. Right now I think getting in the top 6 is ideal. Probably won't happen but want to get one of Tatum, Isaac, Jackson and smith. Maybe one will fall

Monk, Fultz, and Tatum are the top 4 I like. But honestly, I'd take Fox, Smith, Isaac, or Jackson. Lauri Markkenan and the PG from France aren't bad consolations either. Would love if the Knicks could come away with a combo of any of those 10.
